How do I enable Social Bookmarks in the Admin CP

This has been asked a fair few times, so here goes:

You will also need to add at least 1 bookmark, so that your social bookmarks will show up:
Select vBulletin Options -> Social Bookmarking Manager and click the Add New Social Bookmarking Site to add sites.

Thanks for this wonderful release. Digg.com gets you a lot of traffic. Wouldn't it be better to display at the bottom?

Regards Jason :)

Probably, but I am sure that some people will want it at the top, so I did this for them :)

It is at the bottom by default already (you have to enable it in the Admin CP), check any thread in vbulletin.com to see the default location.

Can you elaborate further, ie more details of the problem, maybe a screenshot, as 3 word answers just don't cut it.

Where can I get this mod for VB 3.6.8?
This is a default feature of v3.7.x, it is not available for v3.6.x.

In the Admin CP

Select vBulletin Options -> vBulletin Options -> Thread Display Options (showthread) -> Enable Social Bookmarking and change to Yes.

You will also have to add your social bookmarks:

Select vBulletin Options -> Social Bookmarking Manager and click the Add New Social Bookmarking Site to add sites.

PEOPLE - READ! This just moves the current feature of 3.7 to the top of threads, it doesn't introduce any new features, they're already built into 3.7 and you need to go elsewhere to figure out how to work them (although you probably shouldn't be using beta software if you don't already know that).

By the way - good mod.

There is no </toolbar>, if you mean <!-- / toolbar -->, then it is pasted in the wrong location.

It needs to be above:

<!-- toolbar -->

or you could try under:

$poll

And see which one looks better.

Also make sure that vBulletin Options -> Social Bookmarking Manager has bookmarks already added, if it does not then bookmarks will not be displayed.

I posted it under <!-- toolbar --> (i was to lazy to search the exact string to post it in here)

vBulletin Options -> Toggle Active Status for All -> marked
vBulletin Options -> vBulletin Options -> Showthread -> Enable Social Bookmarking -> Yes

Do you have bookmarks already added? Does the code, when in it's original place in the template work?

If the answer is yes to both questions, and you have done everything and rechecked the work, then I can not see what is wrong without taking a look at your site.

So, if want me to take a look then feel free to PM me your site address, a temp admin user (with admin permissions - Can Administer Styles for editing templates), without these I cannot help you. I will look when I have time, and even if I have a look, I can not guarantee that I will be able to fix it, so it is up to you what you want to do.

The Social Bookmarks html has changed since I released this template hack (vBulletin v3.7.0 Beta 2), so now updated the instructions to cover vBulletin v3.7.0 Gold :)

That should fix your problems.
