I was wondering if anyone was up to modifying things so that the email vb sent would be in a HTML format.
I think this would be nice and would allow things to be more clean looking. This would also be used for the other email hacks allowing newsletters etc.

If anyone is willing to code this I would be more than happy to pay them a fee for their efforts. From what I gather this project would involve adding some mime code to the header by hacking the mail function call, and then adding a few more MIME bits and pieces onto the actual email body.
Anyhow if interested you can ICQ me at 10271446
Thanks.. BTW I need this asap so if you have time please contact me :)

I need this too and would be willing to throw in a little cash as an incentive. The mail should be MIME multipart so it can be read by a wider number or client email systems. This kind of mode would be very attractive to most administrators and would we well recieved. It is time to make the email compnents look as pro as the rest of the forums. This would certainly help me gain and maintain new members.
A couple of things on my wish list:
I would especially like a postcard mode/module that a registered user could use to send out an invitation to their friends to become new members. The invite would be in html format and would by sent by the site on behalf of the member who sent it. The postcard would contain some cool graphics and imbedded links drawing them to the site. A function like this would help grow my currently unpopulated site (unpopulated because it is brand new).
One other thing. How about a newsletter registration system that would allow the sending of newsletters to members who have subscribed? The newsletter would be prepared by the administrator in HTML format and then sent on demand to the registrants. This would remind those members who have wandered away that the site is still up and give them a glimpse of what is going on. It might even encourage them to come back.
In any case, text is getting a bit outdated and I think who ever creates a successful mod in this area will have a winner with all of us.
Thats my two cents.

I don't know if you are aware you posted in vb2 requests forum but if this is intentional such a hack exists for vb2. Please check my profile.
