Hi,

My vB was fine roughly last night at 2AM before I went to bed. When I woke up this morning, it simply says that it cannot connect. I have asked my friend who is handling the hosting issues to see if they can bring the backup from yesterday online. It is unclear whether we were hacked or the forums simply crashed. He has yet to reply back to me about this.

At the moment, is there any way that I can discover if we were hacked?

Thanks in advance!

(See my .sig for the vB.)

What errors, exactly, are you getting?

Seems like the backend Database may have been corrupted in some way. I see it happening regularly at a large forum I visit. I don't think it's a hack. Not sure how to fix it though.

Again, without an exact error, you'll only receive limited help.

This is the error embedded into the page:

<!--
Database error in vBulletin 3.6.8:

I find it odd that a guest count feature would corrupt being able to view the boards.

I haven't heard of that before, or the guest script thing. Although that must be why I couldn't reach your forums a day or so ago. Maybe it's something to do with an amount of guests trying to view the forum or something? Not sure personally.

How much space have you consumed (and how much are you allotted) from mySQL? Most often table corruptions like this occur when you've run out of disk space.

Try repairing the table and see if this fixes the error. If it returns again later, I suggest you lodge a support ticket with your hosting company.

It looks like the Guest Tracker I had installed stopped the boards from functioning. Thank you everyone for your replies. :)
