Need advice on forum transfer.

As it stands right now my forum is my domain.com, what I did was created a subdomain and named it FORUM... this is where I want my forum to be located from now on, do I need to transfer all files and folders to this Dir, like so? "/public_html/forum" or is there an easier way of pulling this off? thanks in advance for your help......

What I found when doing this is:


Open up your FTP client (I recommend SmartFTP)
Drag and drop files from root to /forums
Done!


Some others may have more instructions but this worked fine for me.

Thanks! Iam already setup with FTP client.

I wasn't sure if I needed to transfer these files from root to /forum... I guess this is how I'll do it then. Thanks for the reply!!
