<a href="http://politicity.net" target="_blank">http://politicity.net</a>

This is my political debate forum. We discuss news, politics, social issues, religious issues, environment, and other hot topics.

The website is only a couple months old, and I've been getting some traffic, but no one signs up! I want to know what I can do to get more users to sign up. Right now, the only way I am advertising is through word of mouth, topsites, and forum signatures. Also, if you search google "Political Debate Forum", I'm on the first page...still no one signs up.

Any ideas/comments? Thank you.

Is your forum active? How many posts you have daily?

Last week we had around 70-100 daily, but I don't know what happened since then. No members are logging in, and no one is posting much. I only had 20 posts the last few days! I know my forum is pretty new, but that doesn't sound right to me. Maybe I need some new ways to advertise.

Just my opinion but you have a lot of competion. Plus when I did a yahoo search for Political Debate Forum it did not show up on the 1st page, same with google.

people will not post on your forum just because you want to have posts... you will have participation when the visitors will feel they are welcome and they have some special things on your site...

it is the exact same thing when you go to the Mall and walk thru all the shops... you do not spend your cash in all the boutiques until you find something cool to buy.

OT: Nexialys: Try bringing your wife to the shops and see if you still can leave a shop without buying anything. :D
