How to disable smilies per user?

Is it possible to allow users to choose to disable smilies from viewing in threads?
(Version 3.6.5)

I have two groups of smilies.
- Standard VB ones.
- Custom animated Smilies.

If so, can it be turned of by group?

So, is it not possible, or does the "Disable Smilies in Posts" in "vBulletin 3.0 Full Releases" Forum work for 3,6??
