Hi guys,
this is my dedicated: p4 3.0ghz 2gb ram......
my forum has 11,000 threads 45,000 posts and 40,000 members.. usually the average users online is 100 and same amount of guests.. sometimes the highest it can go is 1500users online. then i have to turn it off for non-members.
this is the issue, sometimes i have to turn it off for non-donating members too, i don't want to do this. i thought the ram would solve this problem but it didn't (had 1gb before)..
what do you recommend i do?

Post your "top" stats under heavy load.
Once your in top, hit the "1" key, to show all your cores, if you have more than one.

According to what you posted, i don't see any issues in top, minimal cpu use, only using half your ram, minimal swap use.
I doubt you are using the default cookie timeout of 900s, try setting that back to default so we get a real user base, but again, if that is your peak times for traffic, i don't see anything in TOP to suggest you have a issue.

Yes loads of 1.6 with that much traffic is not bad at all (may be a bit high if that site is the only thing on the server) but still nothing to jump around about, a few tweaks could help. Your server should be running just fine and site loading fast :)
