Send weekly email to all forum members

is there a way to send a weekly summary of new and recent discussions to all members? I would like to allow members to opt-out after the first weekly email.

I have commbull and am having problems with it since upgrading to 3.6.8 PL2. I send about 20,000 emails with my community bulletin every week but since the upgrade, when I run commbull it slows the forum to a near halt.

Today I tried to run it and it too over 30 minutes to send 3000 emails so I finally just shut it off before finishing.

I am now looking into phplist to send bulk emails to my members. Phplist is not incorporated into VB but I can create mailing lists in the VB Admin Control Panel
