IP Blocking - Is it excessive (3,388 blocks) ?

Here are the IP's blocked for my website

3388 in total. Most IP's I got from someone else. 5 or 6 IPs from spam attempts on my site over the last week or so.



I was wondering if a list of known spammers could be maintained by vBulletin. That could simplify our tasks....

That seems like an awful lot. What exactly are you trying to block?

Yes having a very large block list can slow down your board.

And it probably is not very usefull. Spammers don't often use the same IP address again.
