Do you know what the term is for the view where the poster info is listed on the left side of the post itself in threadview? Do you know how to change it from horizontal to vertical?

You mean where the avatar posts, etc are on the top and you want to change it to the left side?

Admin Control Panel -> vBulletin Options-> Style and Language settings -> Use Legacy (Vertical) Postbit Template -> Yes
