gradient_thead.gif is missed in all the side columns on the portal.

Gradients look perfectly fine to me.

The real issuse is these cells' class is 'tfoot' not 'thead'.

Maybe its tfoot for stylistic choice because thead doesn't give the exact look they want. Designers can be eccentric like that.
