I like this add-on and it is working fine, but there is a little bug.

When user change his email he can not return to his email again, because it says email is in use although email is not in the use and was removed from user account.
I guess VMail has some sort of memory of it and it doesnt clear this memory at changing an email.

Or the question is: How long does it keep emails in nlp_vmail ?

Great hack, installed. This should drop the amazing number of "awaiting for e-mail confirmation" users due to fake e-mails.

One suggestion, though.

After sending the confirmation e-mail the user needs to re-type its e-mail address on the registration form. It would be nice to change the system to automatically fill the e-mail address fields as the e-mail address has been already confirmed.

We are getting the same issue, everything was working great until 3.6.9 upgrade. You will only get this error, if you close the registration page while waiting for the e-mail. If you click the link in the e-mail you will get the "You chose not to agree.." message.

Any fix coming for this?

Problem found. on 3.6.8 worked perfect but as soon as i updated to 3.6.10 i started getting problems.

First problem i would get this message when i clicked reg: You have chosen not to accept reg rules. then i went into admin cp disabled the: No rules on reg page, then that cleared that up.

Then once you get to the part where you type in your email and you go to your email and click link it now it brings you to the login page it now wants you to login instaed of it bring you to the reg page.

Also if you type in the code manually and not click link it will do the same thing

Can you fix please?

It's working awesome on my end (vB 3.7). It will also work with the Invite System for vB3.7. I suggested that new vB versions should have something similar, verify emails BEFORE proceeding with registration. This will also minimize the need for captcha and reduce unverified accounts. :)

vMail won't install on vBulletin 3.7.0. You need to edit the xml file and change:

Regarding the image problem I described above, it has nothing to do with vMail but with the fact that I will need to recompile PHP:

If the GD (True Type) option doesn't work, please ask your host to recompile PHP with FreeType 2 support.

Just found another bug.

On plugin called NLP vMail - Functions, function vB_version, where is a "=" should be a "==", marked in red below.

Another bug that must be manually fix is the one that I described on a previous post, where you click on the link saying "already have a code" and you are redirected to the forums main page.

To fix this, edit the template nlp_vmail_verifymail and change:

I don't understand this. I have the 'advanced forum rules' and the 'ISBOT' hacks installed on vb 3.7.2.
Will this hack work for me?

There is an error in the "Have access code" link code - in the earlier version it didn't check for the "Agreed with forum rules" in this version it re-checks and somehow always says that "You have not agreed to the forum rules - go back to the forums" - although I did check the "Agree" checkbox.
I have restored to the earlier version.


Same problem here,if user press Have verification code ? user only see this message 1sec. and after return to next pages

I was find bug. Just in my forum 3 phrases has repeated as translation, maybe i'm not del their:)

AM using vbulletin version 3.7 as well as the recaptcha mod (at https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=151824&highlight=captcha ) and also the Enhanced Image Captcha Mod (at https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=181818&highlight=Enhanced+captchaP plus your VMail Verification Mod -

I tested out your mod with fake email addresses to see if it works but I notice it is cookie based as when I tried it the first time (before clearin cache, cleaning out cookies and temp files)...everyting work as it should...delay in receivein the code but that is okay...but when I go back to do it gain...to make sure all is runnin smoothly...I keep gettin an error messages saying the verification code entered is wrong and it is always rite as I make sure I I enter the codes correctly...

And the ReCaptcha works well with other features (including the main registration form) but when it comes to your VMail Verification Mod...I keep gettin errors sayin the verification code is wrong...

But I notice when I clean out cache, temp files, and cookies...it works fine....

Is there a way to make it so that the cookies, cache, and temp files do not effect it or is that a security feature of this mod? If so...than disregard this post and I will continue usin it (although I plan to already as I love it)...but am just wonderin if that wz a bug or something...

And can you help me out plz???

ALSO, in case your wonderin why I Have so much security verification around registration is cuz I had trouble with lurkers and trouble makers before who would register just to start shit or try and hack my forum so I am reinforcing security on my forum...just an FYI to those of you on why I got so much verification mods for registration...:D
