So far this year, it has acquired 35 companies for $84.8 million, the largest of which was Jelsoft Enterprises, a maker of bulletin board software

Interesting figure, that's an average of just under $2.5 million per company, and given that it says Jelsoft was the largest. I think it's reasonable to think they paid at least double the overall average for Jelsoft.

I don't quite like the term aggressive acquisition, hopefully they aren't spending themselves too thin...

They have bought up a lot of forums that I do work on and have dropped substantial offers on another one I do some things for over at 6speedonline.com - figures almost at 2.7 million alone for that forum.
Internet Brands is obviously looking to invest and if you own a large forum in a topic they might be interested in...don't be surprised if you get an email :)...but it must be a rather large and targeted niche obviously such as 6speedonline.com.
