On installing the Mood Manager (http://www.vbimageworks.com/miscellaneous/1125-mood-manager-icons.html) hack 7 months ago (have since removed it) I decided then that I wanted a custom set of mood manager icons, though because of the amount of icons which consisted in this hack, designing a set of custom icons was (and sadly still is) a project within itself, it became a little daunting (and I had work issues aswell as laziness issues) so I stopped about half way through and the set have laid dormant on my computer for 6 months.

Because of many people requesting, and asking when I'll get around to completing the set I have decided to come back to this and hopefully within the next couple of weeks I can complete this set of about 80+ custom icons. The icons I've designed so far (shown below) is the partial set that I'm just under half way through doing (all custom images). I've still yet to resize the canvas and I'm hopeing for some feedback, suggestions, anything that will help me in getting this set more to that completion stage.

Bare in mind that the previews shown below are just that, previews, and are saved out for a specific background that I was testing this set on so I would advise that you don't use these previews (although that hasn't stopped some people) because the set is not final and this would only spoil the visual experience what this set will offer.

Anyway, I'm looking more for a hard critique, suggestions, ideas, anything that will will give the icons a more pleasant visual look. :)

amazing shelly... i wish i could use them. they are some of your best work imo and tat bar was already high.

they compliment your smiles... honestly what stopped me is the hack isnt global last time i checked. it leaves a gap as my forum page isnt my users most popular page w/ addons. hopfuly someday.

What you're asking is for someone to risk getting suspended for distributing another members work without permission. Like I stated, these are purely previews and should be treated as such. If you cannot wait for the final release you are more than free to right click and save as on each of the moods and use them.

Back on topic, as said on my forum, I am leaving the design stage untill thursday (2nd November) so I can gain some feedback in the way of suggestions and possible requests on other moods to add in this pack. If I'm not mistaken, there are around 80 moods for the mood manager hack and I plan on adding an extra 20 with the help of the community in the form of requests/moods which may possibly make the pack. :)

I came to know now that still you've not released them.

They look fantastic! Maybe a little bit smaller?

Resizing them would involve a great deal of work because the emoticons (on average consist of atleast 20+ layers) and resizing each emoticon would involve in tweaking the blending modes (within the emoticons) which would involve too much of my time. I did want to re-size them and scale the base down a little (well, the height, not the width) and I may very well do but resizing them will cut the release date of these further.

Thanks for the suggestion and I'll take a look and see what corners I can cut without compromising quality and the timeline for this project. :)

The mood manager icons are currently in development, and new moods are being created as we speak (well, not right now because I'm replying to you). As soon as I've completed the pack, I will post them in the vbulletin.org image database.

Don't ask when they will be completed as this is a mammoth task (even for my standards) so I'm not giving a completion date as yet. :)

On Mac, we have GraphicConverter, which do the job automatically for animated .gif ... did you try it ?!

most of the time, when the job is not proper the first time, you do it until the image is great, 2 or 3 times... i've done it for some professional works already... easier than resizing each layers...

I couldn't do that, even if I wanted to no matter how tempting it is (because I'm lazy) but I prefer tweaking/modifying each layer to retain the visual quality. Example: Blending mode tweaking, masking and any other individual layer tweaking. I'd really be cutting corners with the method your suggesting and retaining the visual quality would be thrown out of the window which is something (btw: I am really tempted to do) but for consistencies sake, I'm not willing to undertake no matter how tempting and time saving this suggestion would be. :)

Maybe in about 6 months when I stop caring but thanks for the suggestion anyway. I do try to cut corners but without compromising visual quality.

Awesome work Shelly:)

Just one thing. When I tested these mood emoticons on my site in replace of the original ones. (Changed the .xml file to reflect just the ones above.) They were all cut-off in the drop down menu. Is there a way to fix this without resizing the actual images? I like them the size they are. If so, can you explain where to go and how to make the changes? Sorry for so many questions, I know how busy life can be. I have 3 kids (3, 6, & 7) of my own, work, and my wife lol. So I know what it's like.

Great moods but the fact is you have to register at your site to get them.I think this is bad as i belong to so many vbulletin boards. Why dont you just allow on here people dont have to want the time to register at yet again another forum to be able to download something

Then simply don't use them. infact, do a search and visit the vbulletin.org database and check to see if I released the mood icons. you'll find that they are released here on the whim you just went to page 20 to reply that it's so terrible that you had to register or people have to register.

Stop wasting my time with meaningless responses when you simply don't have or unwilling to state facts.

I know this is an old thread but we recently install the vmod mod and used the shelly pack. We love the smileys and wonder will you be adding to them? Take requests? Do you have a site where we can maybe make requests or find more moods to add them to our site to use?

I won't be adding or designing anymore moods for this pack. Think of it as EOL due to me starting on a new Mood Icon v2 pack which I created a thread (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=240963) previewing them a few days ago.

I've added a few more that haven't been released here at adminextra and your more than willing to copy and paste those. But as far as adding more in this design I since stopped since commencing on the new mood icon pack.
