Members not recieving confirmation email

I just got my forum up and running. Everyone who has signed up for it so far have said they did not receive the confirmation email. I told them to check their spam folders, nothing. I've looked at the settings and they appear to be okay, but I'm not sure. I didn't change any of the settings when I set everything up so I'm not sure why it isn't working. Anybody have any advice for me?

I've found Hotmail has some issues with receiving confirmation emails.. so I just turned Email Confirmations off and that was that.

Email confirmations help reduce spammers, so I think I'm going to stick with it. Anybody else have any ideas?

vBulletin Options > User Registration Options > Verify Email address in Registration (set that to yes)
