Problem with marked as read

Whenever we mark threads as read and go back to the forum view the forum still shows that there are unread threads contained inside however there are none. Sometimes you have everything marked as read, if you log off and then come right back you will see forums marked as changes yet there are none.

Even though we go into an individual thread and read until the last article it doesn't always update.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this behavior?

Are you using database marking ? - do you have it set to automatic forum read marking ?

mine was set to inactivity/cookie based so I moved it to database auto forum marking.
