I've a large number of icons/buttons/images on my PC, and would like to share them here... I don't know if they are copyrighted or not, and cannot even remember where I got them from.
Is there any risk if I post them here?
Thanks in advance.

You have to own the copyright of all elements you distribute... if you have not, save yourself from being sued by accident... do not distribute.

I am quite positive these are copyrighted and yet they have been submitted into the vbulletin.org image database Image submission you've already made (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=158530). It's not only a question whether it is okay but a question of moral that your submitting other peoples hard work. Play it safe, only submit images that you have designed and you'll save yourself a whole load of grief.

I've reported that post Shelly, well spotted. I recognize those icons, and I am sure that Mazinger was not the creator :)

I didn't create the icons, I collected them from somewhere awhile ago, and can't even remember about them.
That's why I started this thread asking about this. I don't want to participate in copyright violation or piracy.

Okay fair enough then. It's simple really. Don't distribute anything that isn't yours, or use anything that isn't yours, unless you have specific permission to do so from the author :)

Mazinger,
Unless noted by original author, you may not upload files that do not belong to you. "Files" include images, php files, php code, etc.
thank you for understanding
