I tried searching on "anniversary message' and couldn't find anything.

Is there any kind of script that will daily go through "Join Date" by month and day and automatically send out a message to congratulate the member for being on the board for a year (or two or whatever).

Ideally, it would be nice if it can detect active members and if they are active send them a message to congratulate them and thank them for being a valued board member.

If they are not active the message could say something like, "We noticed you joined a year ago but haven't been posting. Come back and check us out and see how much we have grown" something like that anyway.

I know that VB will automatically send out brithday greetings so just though this would be cool too!

This isn't for my board which is only a small private one with 55 active members but for a very large one with about 4000 members on which I am a moderator. I just don't want to look like an idiot if I suggest it to the Admins.

Bumping up-it's been a week and no reply. Is this even possible?

maybe look into how the birthdays are set up and copy that. maybe set up a 2nd calendar that tracks join dates? just thinking out loud, maybe it'll help.

I have no idea how to write code or anything. The birthdays are loaded in to member profiles, not sure where the join dates are kept. I know you can sort a member list by join date and other things like post count.

If this was Excel, I would know how to do it. I was hoping someone had done it before and had a hack.

:)

This surely does not send any mails (yet), but I think it is the direction you think of
