how to prevent navbar index page html appearing on child / sub forums?

Hi,

Is there anyway that I can prevent the navbar html I add on my forum index main page from also appearing on the child / sub forums (I already have other images customised to appear on these invidual forums)

I've been reading around and haven't been able to find an answer for this :confused:

I'm presuming I'm missing some kind of code as part of the template when I edit 'navbar' and insert my html?
