It's within the power of the International vBulletin Community to save the World if it's endangered?

Of course. I'm sure there's a hack for that.

also rumors of them using the admin, super mod, mod chain of command. i heard this all from the piracy pirates. i think the UN and vbulletin are negotiating terms.

But of course you must remember that the system can restrict what the "admins" can do, so while there might be ten admins, only 2 can actually do anything because they have gone on a power-trip, and have access to the server ;)

If Al Gore can win the Nobel prize for the peace with a one-sided documentary about the environment (now where is the link to world peace?), then i think vBulletin should at least be nominated for next years Nobel prize for the peace.

I plan on drinking that day and enjoying the show. ;)

In other words don't count on me unless you're looking for beer.

He wasn't awarded that prize just for his documentary. He was one of the first politicians to call attention to global warming, way back in the 80s -- when Bush v1.0 told him he was basically a nut-job and that global warming didn't exist.

Now if only we could define a constant to disable the production of nuclear weapons... :D

I agree - with growing communities everywhere, long live VB!

Now if only we could define a constant to disable the production of nuclear weapons... :DThat's already been figured out...

// Disable Production of Nuclear Weapons
define('DISABLE_NUCLEAR_WEAPONS',true);

Where it goes, I've forgotten... :(

Ha ha, if only it were that simple...

See how marvelous the world would be if it only used vBulletin as its framework? :p

Chris M

But you would probably get some newbie world leader coming along who doesn't know a thing about vB and would muck up their vB framework with plugins and end up causing db errors :p

True... not to mention that would mean Jelsoft owning the world, might lead to problems. :D

If only there were a database big enough.

It would work if we all used the vB32.6 platform, but thats not available for another 40 years... :/

Actually, in 40 years vBulletin's version would be approx. 22 (+ or - 3). :)

I can only imagine what (assuming vB is still around) it'd look like... probably could create new threads by thinking it -- what a hell that'd be for moderators; every little thought that popped into your head.

I've been 40 years in to the future and have seen vB 32.6 ;)

My problem is more that i don't see the relation between global warming and the Nobel prize for the Peace.

Well the committee interpreted it as this:

This year, the committee specifically linked efforts against global warming to keeping the peace: because of “greater competition for the earth’s resources,” it said, “there may be increased danger of violent conflicts and wars, within and between states.”

What's ironic about this statement is that the debate over Global Warming has caused quite a stir. As this debate continues, I think there will be more separation than unity over it. Not exactly what I call peace.

The Nobel Prize committee and their selection process has become politicized. It has been for years.
