Views vs Unique views?

How often does vb update the views counter? Also, is there a way to record/view unique views to a particular thread? Or is there a way to record/view unique views/replies to any thread started by a particular user?

Depending on your settings, vBulletin will either immediately update the count, or update them once an hour. vBulletin does not store data such as unique views. You could, however, create a plugin to store your wanted data to another table.
