My website server provider has recently decided to update their servers and restrict access to imagemagick, so I can no-longer add the path to it in my vb options.

I contacted them regarding this and they said that ImageMagick is no longer fully funtional because they have to open certain features within PHP that are a security risk. So instead they are using a workaround, rather than using the convert binary using exec you now have to use an API called MagickWand (which is based on ImageMagic 6.3.5 or greater ( www.magickwand.org (http://www.magickwand.org) )

This obviously doesn't help me when I'm setting up image verification on new registrations as I no-longer have a path to imagemagick.

I don't really want to change suppliers as I've been with them for a long time and I've got a good deal running with them but this is annoying to the extreme. Is there any workaround to get vbulletin using magickwand instead of imagemagic?

If not, can anyone recommend a good UK cheap website provider?

How about GD?

yep, has the basic GD Simple Font, but not the true type font. But would prefer Imagemagic....

when a host downgrade your account, you have the right to request a refund... because you paid for the full featured stuff.

GD have truetype management the same way as ImageMagick... i would suggest you to require a refund (please backup your site first and market a new host)... and move.
