I just download the usenet gateway hack and installed on my testing vb2 rc2.
I set up all necessary settings , news server
and all newsgroup and make it 'on'
then I ran the newnews.pl and seeing it was downloading the news
After finishing , I get back to the forum but nothing newsgroup appear on my board.
Is there any other setting or need to modify template to display news ?

Are your forums set to show only posts from the last 30 days?
If you were pulling historical news from a server with a long retention and you had the config set to use NNTP time as the post time then you may have old messgages.
There is no other logical explanation assuming you created a local forum, assigned the newsgroup to that forum and you received no error messages.

You'll have to use a normal news reader and look at message numbers for you want to start at for each group you are mirroring and put that number in the 'Last Message Number' field in the control panel alongside each group.
Of course, it's much easier to just keep pulling the news until you catch up then purge the old ones if you don't want them :) It's only a one time operation anyway.
