hola peoples,
i'm integrating a program i've created with vbulletin.
now, what i've done is manually link the vbusers with accounts in my program. i'd like to simplify the registration process by automating a user registration into vb when a user signs up to use my program with a little php. i'm wondering what tasks need to be handled in order to code a user registration. ie - mysql inserts, handling passwords ... kicking off mail events etc ...
so basically ...
1 - user registers to use my program
2 - account in my program creates the user in my programs database and it kicks off a script and ...
3 - they are automatically registered onto my forum with this exact same login and password
is there a certain sequence of events that must happen to create the user? or can i simply insert a user into the vbusers table?
i currently have it that they have to register on the forum, then i take their login and link it to my program ... i guess i can keep doing that, but i'd prefer if the forum account was created after.
