View Full Version : Points systems, store AND items like in 2.x ?

With my 2.x vBulletin boards, long ago, i used to have a nice point system with a nice store and a lot of customization items :

glowing user name
Change user title
Change other user's title
...


With 3.6.x, i've seen a lot of point system mods, some shop mods but... Nothing about these useful items.

Is there already a mod allowing this ? Else it would be great to have one !

vBplaza would be the one i'd consider the best, but it got the axe after a big gaping hole was found in it. the author has been promising to fix it now for about 20 years.

other than that, what did you have in mind? I'm working on a custom one for myself (to sell music downloads) that works with both PayPal and authorize.net (payment form within vB).

I considered securing vBplaza myself, but couldn't stand some of the default products it came with. For example, there's no amount of money in the world that would make me consider selling full admin rights to the board for a whole day.

Well, my question was more about shop items themselves, than a point system.

Since i'm using vBulletin 3.6, my users keep on complaining about the point system gone and keep on asking me how they can change their title or change other user's titles like they were used to in 2.x with uShop.

idunno how anyone can stand having that kinda thing going on on their boards.... but yeah, its vBbux thats best for that kind of thing.

i keep up with his website from time to time, he keeps promising a big overhaul. i patched the old 3.5 version and it works fine for me.

actually, promisses are not real facts. the guy promissed a lot of enhancements 2 years ago, and nothing was done... please do not use this as an argument...

well don't try and upsell something that isn't even fully developed yet! his e-commerce system isn't even done and they're marketing it already.
