View Full Version : Exclude posts in a forum from NOT counting to users' post count

Hello,

I know I can make posts in a forum from NOT counting to the users' post count, though it will get counted to the total posts of the entire forums(to show as site statistics).

I have a games forum whose posts have been counting to the users' post counts. If I make the posts in that forum NOT to count, it only avoids counting from NOW (i.e. future posts).

How do I subtract that forum's posts from the users' post count which was already made and got counted?

Any hack or plugin available for this?

Thanks.

In your AdminCP, scroll downn to Maintenance, the click on Update Counters, then scroll down to Update Post Counts. That will recount all posts to how you currently have the forum setup. Hope this helps.

Spank,

Oh...my God, that worked like Gem! Thank you.

I first asked this question in vbulletin community forum and in their support system, they redirected me hear saying the past posts counted already can be excluded only by hack or plugin. The standard feature allows only to exclude future posts for the set-up forum.

But you made my life so easy by pointing towards update counters. Thank you once again.

Please refer my post here - https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=1353521&postcount=1

Is this possible with updating any counters?

Thanks again for your help.
