It seems to me that it's important to let everyone know that bad language, insulting and otherwise unwelcome posts will result in an infraction.
Simply deleting posts is not sufficient in most circumstances because
1) the message that such posts will result in an infraction is not sent to the community and
2) other people often quote the original post and deleting the original then leads to confusion for readers.
What I would like to see is an additional note under the original post rather like the Thank You hack which displays a message showing that an infraction has been given.
This is a good idea, isn't it? Got to be a MOTM candidate!
