Closed my forum for a day, disappeared from Google and MSN SERP's

Hey guys,

I have the sitemap hack installed that automatically sends a sitemap to Google/Yahoo/MSN.

So I shut my forum down for a day to change the server that I had and I opened it back up the next day. My site used to appear pretty high up in SERP's. Now it's gone. I have several thousand backlinks. Do you think the search engines will recognize them and my site again in a few days, if/when they update again?

You're probably just going to have to wait and see. Are you doing anything else shady?

Nope. Everything's legit. It's also too much of a coincidence that I've been on those search engines for a year then dropped from both (and SERP in Yahoo plumetted) on the same day I take my forum offline.

You might want to try a re-inclusion request at google. Also take a look at mattcutts.com Matt is a Google engineer and you can search his blog. He's got lots of info on things like this.
