Port of Marco's thread limitation hack

Hi, I am basically just looking for a port of this hack made by MarcoH: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=74800

It would be extremely appreciated as it is a big part of my forum. I have sent a message to Marco, but I know he is extremely busy lately. It would be amazing if someone could make this for me.

P.S. The link to another hack that was supposed to do it in that thread does not work right and I believe the auto abandoned it.

Yea, I completely understand and agree with that. I hope Marco will reply here or send me a message and says it is OK. Although, I am sure he will think it is fine considering people have posted in the thread for months for a port and he has not replied. So, he probably doesn't have time. Could you possibly ask him in the staff forum or something?

I hardly have time to look into my own modifications at all, other things have higher priority. Don't even have the time mostly to check their threads.

As that mod was written a long time ago for 3.0 (code edits!!!), it would be easier/better if another coder wrote a version from scratch using plugins etc for 3.6.

PS Only the actually code is copyrighted and i doubt that code is still usable for 3.6. Ideas are not copyrighted so anyone could write a similar modification.
