How do I successfully add code to the archive?

I'm using amykhar's Adsense Archive product - but I'd like to add something in addition.. However, I keep getting errors after trying.. Is there something special I need to do? Regular, plain-old text works just fine. Once I start adding javascript type coding (network ads), it breaks. This never used to be a problem - so this is new to me...
