Include news?

Does anyone know how to include like news from forum 1 or something and put it to fit on a webpage? MY friend did the php include in phpbb but i forgot how to do it can you do it in vbulletin if you can how? I want it so its like it includes news from whatever form i want is it like a PHP code?

How did your friend implement this? Could you post the code? I'm afraid if I give you the code to fetch the data, you're going to mess up your whole site because you won't know where to put it.

He was using PHPBB tho.. IT was like a php include string.

I know he was using phpBB. I need to see the file that was included, so I can match up the variables, etc.
