Announcement Picture on Homepage

Hello!
I am about to release a new service to the users of my vBulletin website, and would like to advertise it somehow on my website. My first thought was making an image and putting it to the left of the "Login box" in the navbar.

Can you think of any better solution? Also, how would I do this? Could I just print screen my website and see the dimensions of the navbar box, and then make a picture that size?

Wount you just do an Html page with what you want in it before you log in your actual forum !!

Do you mean having a html form before entering the main forum? I do not think that would be effective, as there is low traffic on the forum for now. Any other suggestions are warmly welcome.

I have been trying to get this to work:

But as you can see it is not working. This is the code I am using:

How can I make it look better? Making the picture move up and make everything look normal with the picture there.

Any help is very appreciated.
