Pay the $50 to move to vBlog from vbulletin.
I'm dong it next pay day. It has an importer.

Sadly I think I'm about to do exactly that. Even the most patient of people have a limit. He has a great product, but trying to sell a product at a professional price whilst running the company as a one man band simply doesn't equate.
Big shame, quality product imo.

I would move but im stuck with impex, if anyone can help me with the impex it would be great, I get this error:
The incorrect target to export to has been chosen for this source system, restart the import with a new session and select the correct version and system to export to.
But I have got the correct details for the source path, its strange.

I suggest you post about this at the ImpEx support forums at vbulletin.com.
PS It is not complaining about the source config, but about the target.

yeah I posted over 24 hours ago in their impex forums, but still no reply, so hoping that some of you experienced people can offer me some ideas.
The target config part confuses me, I have entered the target config exactly the same as my config.php info as that has to be correct if my forums are running. also on top of that, I also tried leaving it blank, as the instructions said leave it blank as it will use the config.php anyway, but both times it failed.
So am I missing a step still?

Please note that it is Eastern Weekend, and Jerry only works on weekdays.
vBulletin.org Community Lounge is not the place to get support.

and this thread was not about ImpEx... i suggest this thread close...
btw, vBlogetin was bought by the company that bring Censura, a poll/rating software... all of that company products are obsolete and unsupported, so i suppose vblogetin will be too... i would focus on vb Blog for all the curious !!!

and ?!
he is not acting on this topic because he does not want to be forced to explain all and everything related to vBlogetin... this is his right, no need to bring him on the blanket again...

SirAdrian wrote the original version. He has since sold the rights and code to another company.

I'm a tad confused, why would another company be interested in buying the vBlogetin software? When it's for use with vBulletin and vB now have there own official blog product.

And how do you reach that conclusion? Censura is certainly neither obsolete nor unsupported.
As for vBlogetin, many feel that vBlogetin has more features than the Jelsoft vBlog. The exact roadmap for vBlogetin has still to be finalised but we will likely release a new version later this year.

And those of us who had licenses for vBlogetin will have access to this 'new version'?
(sorry, know this isn't the place to discuss this, but I have 2 licenses for vBlogetin and have had no updates/information/nadda since Oct of last year so, just wondering what's going on now that the new owner posted here...)

I have vblogetin but switched over to the vb blog as soon as it was available for purchase. I really liked vblogetin, but support is one thing I wont sacrifice ;)

vBulletin.org is not the place to discuss a third party commercial product.
