Most people would charge, I don't know of anyone that would do it for free to help out unless there was a trade.

Bryan came online and asked me if it was ok to give you his ftp details, forum details, and the jelsoft customer account details. I told him no. I don't see why you need all this just for a modification. I warned bryan who has autism that there's a serious risk involved with sharing personal details, and with all these he opens himself up to them. The choice is him of course, but bryan: I super strongly recommend you do NOT disclose your customer number, and especially not your password to people who aren't official Jelsoft staff.
And no, I will not install mods on your forum, plus asking me questions here is not helpful, I am not staff here and have no intention of reading all the posts to see if someone is looking for me. I can't help you on this forum.

Bryan, giving out your vbulletin customer details is pretty stupid to be blunt. As is giving out your Ftp details for no real reason, 90% of modifications don't require file uploads, the most he needs is administrative access to your plugins, which I wouldn't trust a random stranger to do anyway.
Theres alot of people around that take advantage of people, just be careful who you give your info to. :)

You're from the latest generation of users on this forum, but before you, believe it or not, everybody helped eachother out for free. It was called the vBulletin.org community. Users shared their resources, worked as a team on an addon, and helped eachother with questions and installations or things, or at least walked them through it. Assuming there's a charge now is what I think is the wrong approach perhaps. Back in the day when someone did offer these paid services, it was not done through this site, but through their own personal web site, so everybody felt welcome and brave enough to ask for help such as bob did.

Jelsoft still can do that and i wish they will spare more time on vb.org and close paid modification section immediately as i am also looking for that days Floris.

hey i was the one helping out and im very trust full. not like some people on vb-org try to take over your forum after they help that annoys me. and i dont scum money i have helped many member here for free and will keep helping out.
i will get a good name for my self i believe what you give out you get back, i have had many members help me when i new nothing its time to return the favor.
edit: i already said to bob12 that i dont trust many people with my passwords etc: maybe only my host.
in a way i was just letting him have a second thought rather than rush into it.
but yeah bob12, i have a domain free if you want it, the problem was bob12 trying to run 2 sites off 1 domain. so i offer a free domain pm me if you still need it.
cheers.

My comment wasn't targetted at you jacob, but more a general notice to bob, though bob said on irc you asked for his customer details, which is ridiculous for installing mods - at the time he only showed msn logs, which had your nAmEsPeLlEd like that .. instead of a vborg username, giving the impression it was just another vborg unlicensed user trying to get a free license. Knowing bob12 is an easy target i try to prrotect him by telling him to not just share privacy details.
lizard king: that's something you have to suggest to jelsoft. I am not staff here, and am not involved with the vborg community runnings.

No i was asking for his DNS1 and DNS2 so i could redirect my old domain to his server.
he was trying to run 2 sites off 1 domain which thats why i was having trouble installing the hacks for him. Now his just completely cut me off i just wasted 5 hours for nothing.
i never asked for customer details, why would i when i have my own lol.
