GTPrivate Message Quickreply is a "No Template Edits" product.

This modification adds a "quickreply" to private message area - similar to vb.org. Please view attachment for example.

I changed the size of the box by editing the template: gtpm_quickreply

All I did was change code: style="width:300px" to style="width:650px"

Ok well either I'm doing something wrong or my board is playing up cause this doesn't work for me at all..:(

What happens when I install this is that it removes the delete PM option and gives me drop-down options but no quick reply box at all. the templates are added and are there, but that's it.

Can you at least pm me or post a mod to add it back? I love the mod and have it installed but I just need this option back. I think others would also appreciate it.

Works fine here, maybe you need to adjust your forum style options. I have tested mine in six different t skins and they are work fine. Also it looks like you didn't update your skin, since that was an issue that some users had when using vb 3.6.8 with older versions skins. I have many compact skins which are very small and his mod scales down the box to fit so it has to be your style.

My 3.6.7 template hasn't been modified, but the 3.6.8 template has a few lines of different code. I tested the 3.6.8 template on my 3.6.7 board and it seemed to work ok except that the standard thread quickreply was about half as wide as before.

HA! - I was just gonna suggest that = GREAT idea! Possibly have the message AUTOMATICALLY quoted within the quick reply....

ALSO - I KNOW it's been mentioned time and time again - But it would simply be fabulous to have a checkbox to Delete original PM after reply... Yeah yeah yeah - I know there's a nice little box with the dropdown selection... But after replying via quick reply - you'd have to load the page again to delete the message.

Isn't the goal of PM Quick Reply to save page loading time?

I use red (pink) for ERRORS; ALERTS; STOP; or ATTENTION.
I use yellow (light gold) for WARNING; or places I want reader to take action.
I use green (light green) for SUCCESS; GO; or places I want reader to take action.

Smilies in Quick Reply (3.7 Betas)


Read first: I haven't figured out how to insert the smilie dropdown option in the quick reply so I did the next best thing: Inserted a full editor. Then I eliminated the smilie box (attachment below) to simulate a quick reply. :D I don't know if that's the best way to do it but for the people that were able to add the smilie dropdown didn't bother to share their code. So, down below is what I did (if you use it that's your choice):

1. Install Show Smilies in Quick Reply (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=134135).

2. In plugin "Print Quickreply" with hook location "private_complete" find 2/3 way:


$vbulletin->options['privallowsmilies'], 1, 0, 'qr');


Replace it with:


$vbulletin->options['privallowsmilies'], 1, 0, 'fe');



3. In template editor_smiliebox find:


<if condition="$show['smiliebox']">



Replace it with:


<if condition="$show['smiliebox'] AND THIS_SCRIPT!= 'private'">



4. In template gtpm_quickreply find:


<td class="panelsurround" align="center">



Replace it with:


<td class="panelsurround" align="left">



then find:


<div id="$editorid" class="vBulletin_editor" align="$stylevar[left]">$messagearea</div>



And replace it with:


<div id="$editorid" align="$stylevar[left]">$messagearea</div>



Save. Hopefully your PM Quick Editor will look like mine in the attachment. I also have the Favorite Smilies mod installed (shown in attachment #2). If it doesn't work at least the process was fun, right? :p

And if not, do you (or anyone else) have any way of synching the two hacks so this quick reply pulls the APM choices for deciding the default box positions?

I've had this mod installed for some time now, kept working fine on all the updates to vBulletin until yesterday when I updated to 3.6.10 then I started getting the same error message as you. I've had to disable it until there is a fix for this issue.
