I went 2 weeks ago to a dealer to get a Toyota Celica and they had no more. The last year they made was '04 and all they had was the '08 Model.

They had a Toyota Camry, which cost about 28k so I didn't decide to buy it due to the fact that I can simply buy a BMW M3 for that price (2001) but we all know that Alex wants a 2006-07 BMW :pinkb:

After looking around and almost all cars were automatic, I found 4 of them (sticks). But didn't like the color on them because see them everywhere. Common colors (black, gray, white).

After testing it, I told the dealer I'll be back in two weeks and when I did, my dad took me to another Toyota Dealer to get it a cheap price (Which I did) but they ran out and they call the one I went two weeks ago. I found out they sold that car. :cry1:

They call all Toyota dealers in Georgia and they didn't had the color I wanted and the stuff I wanted. So they end up calling the Alabama Toyota dealer and they had it.

I ended up waiting another day (damn bastard). After calling me that it arrive, I went to check it out. Everything was what I wanted, except it came with a sunroof :) but, it didn't came with 6-Disc. It only comes with 1 disc. :cry1:

Here's some pictures and of course, I'll be buying new rims around November/December. Buying speakers to put in the trunk of the car. :D

Sweet-looking ride, My Friend! So, did you get your manual transmission? I looove driving a stick-shift!!

Regarding vehicle longetivity, About 10 years ago, I had bought a '88 VW Fox 2-dr wagon for $1250...it had 145,000 miles on it, but always started in the coldest Wisconsin weather. After it turned over 200K, I gave it to my father...he's STILL driving it! I don't think that car will ever die!

I currently drive a 96 Nissan Maxima....hopefully this will change soon (it ain't my car, I just sold my baby; 1990 Grand Marquis).

I had a chance to buy a Datsun 280Z not long ago and I didn't move on it quick enough...still kicking myself about that one! :(

I'll be buying new rims around November/December. Buying speakers to put in the trunk of the car.

For the love of god don't put heavy chrome wheels on that thing! You can get nice looking, lighter, and cheaper rims for much less. Don't get oversized rims, they make the car handle like mud. ;)

As for speakers....if you're going to throw a sub-woofer in the back you might as well replace the ones in the front to. Be careful...that can become an expensive hobby. :p

In my Grand Marquis I had a 10 inch woofer in the back inside a custom built (ported) box with a Class D amp pushing around 500watt RMS. I loved it until it beat my car to death and I ended up with so many vibrations that I _had_ to turn the radio on at highway speeds. These days I'm a bigger fan of the sound of an engine turning high RPMs...plus the stereo is a lot of extra weight that I prefer not having. ;)

Send me a PM if you need some help/advice on the stereo, I can help you out with that in more ways than one. ;) Also keep in mind that if you're going to do this right you'll be spending a lot of money on things that aren't speakers. For example in my last car the wiring, new alternator, and new batteries ended up costing me way more than the amps, speakers, and custom box. Although I did get a very good deal on my hardware.

Also don't go into "stereo shops", most of 'em are con-artists that don't know the first thing about car audio. Deal with local "working out of the house" guys instead and do your research online before you pay cash for anything. :)

did someone mention stereo's lol. I'm currently trying to build a custom enclosure. Already got a competition alpine head unit alpine 'D' class amps 0 guage wire from front to back competition grade speaker wire from from to back...basically the list is quite extensive lol. When i get my other car on the road(the Toy! lol) that'll be the car i use to take the kid to school, then the fun really begins on my sound car, back seats out first of all lol!!

not been on a bus in wot a good 15yrs - i prefer my own transport. As for saving the envioronment what little damage i do is small compared to what some companies kick out and if we all stopped using cars for a week it would be wiped out by what China produces in a day.

I drive an Oldsmobile. Sometimes people laugh at me. I don't really mind. A $30,000 Oldsmobile is a lot more car than a $30,000 Mercedes or Audi, and nobody steals them. Ever. I parked my unlocked car outside an apartment complex notorious for car theft every day for four years, and nobody touched it.

Meanwhile, the guy across the street got his KIA stolen. I mean, WTF? Who steals a Kia? Honestly.

I pretty much walk everywhere these days. Don't really have any reason to drive. Just recently moved and there are a dozen restaurants, 2 supermarkets, Staples, Walmart and half a dozen other large stores and about 20 smaller stores within half a mile of my door. For entertainment there are 2 movie theaters totaling 34 screens, an indoor hockey stadium and a baseball stadium within the same distance. There are a couple of parks within about a mile as well.

Your GF has a lot of trust to insure you. One accident or claim and it'll be on her insurance record. In a worse case scenerio, if a lawsuit should occur for damages, medical or compensation, guess who's the victim going after?

Anyway, have a nice day. :D

Sorry did i say GF - i meant wife but i hate to use that word :)

as for trust - guess who pays all the bills etc. Also dont follow u about lawsuits etc as im a named driver on a vehicle thats all nothing else.Im a named driver on my company car as well which i dont own.If i hit someone the fault lies with me and wont matter if im a named driver or not,im still responsible.Thats why we pay high Insurance costs to cover us against such things as this.

Currently running around 80 bhp from a 1.2 16v engine, but in the next month it's getting a straight-through exhaust system with de-cat, and a forced cold air intake, which should put it to around the 95bhp mark :)

The wheels are 15" TSW Black Ice Alloys with 195/45/R15 Bridgestones on ;)

It also has a 650 Watt (300 Watt RMS) 12" Powerbass Subwoofer & Amplifier, Front 6.5" Rainbow 150 Watt Components and Tweeters, and an Alpine MP3/WMA CD Headunit with a built-in 4x50 Watt amplifier :)

It doesn't look or sound like alot I know, but I've surprised many a driver and my mates with how quick it is to pick up, and how well it handles round bends at 70+mph ;)
