I searched all over for someone that has done this. There was one person that has it on his/her list of things to do.
It would be nice to beable to check the board using a web phone. Seems like you could call another template if user was using that device. Then output just basic info for them. Doing limited admin functions would be nice to. Ok while your at it... alowing me to set my a/c and spa temp from phone...

I've been looking into doing this... It's on my list of things to do, eventually... but haven't gotten very far along.

The problems are with the different protocols. The WAP gateways on Sprint, as opposed to WML, as opposed to the Unwired Planet real-time converter... it makes conversion difficult, sadly.

sprint and attws both use phone.com (as do most US carriers).

Sprint's (phone.com) WAP gateways cope fine with WML, and WML is pretty much the standard in the US (and Europe) now; it's only a few old handsets in the US that are HDML - all the recent handsets are WML.

And Unwired Planet *is* phone.com (which has since changed its name once more to openwave.com).
