banning options

I am confused about all of the banning options. I want to have it to where when I ban somebody they have a banned avatar under their name. I also want it to when they are banned it creates a new thread telling why, when ect ect.

This is what I am getting right now when i give an infraction:

His user avatar doesn't change or anything and nobody knows that hes banned. I don't understand whats the difference between a ban and an infraction. Is there a way to have a ban log to view all bans and all?

Well first make a forum for only banned users can see. That is done in the forum permissions area.

Set it in your Avatar Options from the Admin CP. Meaning everything no except Banned User.

"Proper" way is to ban them via Admin System.

Infractions are like warnings.

is there a way i can ban them via the admin system and have the bans show up in a log for users to view?
