:confused:As I'v seen others are also with Godaddy... I have a Virtural Dedicated server with Plesk simple control panel. I've already followed the VBulletin manual on changing /config.php file and am at the point where the manual says ready to upload /upload file through ftp, so I downloaded smartFTP and can't figure out how it works or what to do next... Any help would be very much appriciated.. Thanks guys/gals

ok I got it to connect.. Do you happen to know what File I put the /UPLOAD file into?
or just put it into the root?
I still don't know what File to put the /upload file in. and when I try to put it in any file... not all the files and folders transfer... I'm not sure what the problem is can anyone share some info on this issue? pleas and thank you
Ok now I think I have sucessfully uploaded all my /upload files & folders onto my server/domain but like the manual says to put the /upload file into public_html or the htdocs file as you see in the screen shot my server didn't have that file so I just put them in the /httpdocs file (I hope thats ok).. Also the original files from the /upload file are all just a few KBS larger then they are when they transfered to my server via SmartFTP (also as you can see in the SreenShot).... Now to the problem I'm having now....
The manual says to, Quote:
"The Installer runs as a PHP script using your web browser. To start the installation process, open your browser and type the HTTP address of your forums directory, followed by /install/install.php, then hit the <Enter> key or press the [Go] button to open the script."
I know I can't do that exactly because I put the /upload folder in /httpdocs, in that case I'm supposing I would type Sharkstakes.com/httpdocs/sharkstakesforum/install/install.php then correct? but when I do that I get the cannot display page code 404 error on my web browser... Some please shed some light... at this point I'm will to pay for help to get this up and running... If you'd like to help me but will only do this for $$ please give me a Quote on how much you would charge... heres the screenshot

All files should be inside the public_html folder
so it should look like public_html/forum/ (all vBulletin files should be there) and than simply do the install.
If you have MSN, please add me at alexanderjm316@hotmail.com and I'll be glad to help you.

plesk doesnt have a public_html folder ,
it normally has a httpdocs or httpsdocs folder , which is the same as public_html
