I have 40,000+ members and 2 million plus posts.

Ayone have any knowledge on a good managed hosting company, I am tired of worrying about my servers constantly. Obviously they must manage vb as well.

I would rather worry about builing the community larger.

Any help is greatly appreaciated.

by the look of it i think you are looking for a dedicated server and depending on how much you are offering to pay you can find a cheap and a not reliable hosting or a good and reliable hosting it all depends on how much you offering to pay and who are you prepared to get it from but my suggestion to you look at the feedbacks from other people when you get a dedicated server from.

dcg, what sort of budget do you have in mind for your ideal hosting solution plus management services?

I could certainly help you out, a site of that size would need a pretty decent server specially if you plan on growing it.

For server costs you could expect to spend between 250-350 easy depending on how much you think you will grow.

Managed depending on how much work is required could run you from 50 to 100+ per month.

If your interested, send me an email Steve@Lighti.net I can see what I can work out for you depending on how much "vb" Management is involved. Surely we want do "Moderator" work but back end stuff in the admincp we could handle.

Well without knowing the CPU and Bandwidth and port speeds, its hard to tell if its a good deal, but you should expect to pay about 50-100$ more a month for a managed server vs a non managed server of the same "specs" Depending on the level of management offered. Possibly even more.
