THESE REGEX/XML FILES REQUIRE YOU TO HAVE
THE AME (Auto Media Embedding) HACK INSTALLED!
Hey Guys,
Well it came to my attention that some of you guys wanted me to create another thread that would contain the XML Imports for the famous Hack: AME (Auto Media Embedding). I decided to do so as that will make it easier for everyone to keep track of the Available Supported Sites. With that said, please note that I am not the author of the AME (Auto Media Embedding) Hack and I am simply just adding support for other Video Sites that you guys may want to add.
Please keep in mind that I too have a social life and that this is not my Hack, so I wont be on it 24/7. When you ask for a site for me to add support for, I will get to it when I can. Patience is the key - I am doing this for free and because I want to help you guys out, so please bear with me. The support for adding sites that I can offer is limited. There are many sites out there that I would love to add support for, but I cannot because I do not know how to use the "Extract Info" feature of AME (Auto Media Embedding). For those sites that require this feature, support will not be added by me until The Geek does a Tutorial on it or does the XML Imports for those sites himself.
Now having said that, below is a list of the available sites as of now that I have added support for (unless otherwise stated):
List of Currently Supported Sites (As of 09/05/2007):

The below RegEx's appear on the .ZIP, but before you import them to your Site, you must do some changes to the .XML File in order for them to work correctly and not interfere with the other RegExs above. Read below to know what to do.
RealMedia Videos (.RM & .RAM Extensions)
Windows Media Player Videos (.WMV Extension)
QuickTime Videos (.MOV Extension)
SWF Videos Files
MP3 Files
In order to have the above RegExs work, you must do the following:
Right Click the .XML File and Click Edit (Open in NotePad or WordPad)
Look for YOUR_SITE_NAME_HERE in the Code (appears only once for each .XML)
Change YOUR_SITE_NAME_HERE to your site's name. (ie: If your site is http://www.talkjdm.com, then you would replace YOUR_SITE_NAME_HERE with talkjdm)
Save .XML and Import to your Site - Done!
How-To Install these XMLs:
Download the .ZIP File and Extract it
Locate the Site's RegEx you want to add to your AME
Open up your browser and go into your Forum's Admin Control Panel
From the left hand navigation go to "AMECP" and expand the Box
Select "Import" from the expanded list
Click "Browse" and Select the Site's RegEx you want to add to your AME
Click the "Import" button and let the page load
On the new loaded page, make sure that all the settings are like you want them to be and reclick the "Import" button
After a successful import you should see a message saying "Imported like a charm!"
If you want to donate some cash to help me or just to show your appreciation for the supported sites you can do so via PayPal. Simply send any donation amount to shop@talkjdm.com. It will definitely be much appreciated.
Anyways, I guess that's that ... I'll reserve the 2nd Post in this Thread for a FAQs Section and other stuff ... Thanks ...
- Danny
PS. Please mark as Installed if you have any of these RegExs installed on your Forums, just so I know and can keep track. It would be greatly appreciated ...

Frequently Asked Questions:
When the link is parsed it makes the Video appear two times in the post and my entire post looks messed up, what's going on?
Answer: You have two of the same RegEx/XMLs installed, please uninstall one of them and this problem will be fixed.
How do I Edit the specific width or height of a certain Video from certain Sites?
Answer: Go to AdminCP > AME CP > Display > *Choose Video Site Here* > [Edit] > Media Definition Code > Replacement ... In the "Replacement" Box change the width and height values to whatever you want, please keep in mind that you have to do it to all the width and height attributes in this box, not just one for this to take effect.
How can I create my own RegExs or XML Files for certain sites?
Answer: Visit this link (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=1279365&postcount=87), which is the Tutorial I used to learn how to do it.
Why cant you add support for certain sites like Break.com, AOL Video, etc?
Answer: These sites require the use of the "Extract Info" Feature in order for them to work. Unfortunately I do not know how this function works so I cannot add support for it. For a more detailed explanation visit this link (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=1327801&postcount=608).
How do I align the Videos to the left or right, instead of having it aligned centered in posts?
Answer: To align the Video Frame to the Left or Right instead of having it Centered, you can go here: Admin CP> AMECP > Settings > Container HTML > Open ... Now where you see <div align="center"> change it to <div align="left"> or <div align="right">.
While I try to install this Hack/Mod during the Product Import part of the installation the installer goes to a blue screen and hangs. Why can't I install this mod?
Answer: This Hack/Mod, during Installation of the Product adds a field to the "Post" table in your Database, so if your forums are large then it can take a couple of hours for the installer to get it done. My suggestion would be to shut down your forums, import the Product, let it take as long as it needs (like I said it can be hours), and then reopen your forums.
Does this work with vBadvanced or vB Blogs?
Answer: No at the moment it does not. This would be something that The Geek (author) would have to add support for when he comes back.
How can I make it so that when certain Usergroups post Videos those posts need to get approval by a Staff Member before they show up?
Answer: In this situation what could be done is to set the setting "Follow Forum Moderation Rules" to "No" for the specific Usergroup(s) you want this to happen with. What this will do is Moderate ALL of the post made by the Members of this Usergroup by sending the posts made to the Moderation Queue ... You will then have to manually approve each post in order for it to show in the forums. Take into consideration that this will move ALL of the posts they make into the Moderation Queue and not just the ones containing Video Links. As of now, there is no way to only move the post containing a Video to the Moderation Queue ... Its all or nothing basically, so you decide what you want to do.
I posted a certain link and it got automatically parsed into a Video, but I dont want it to be like that. How can I make it show up as just a link?
Answer: Its a pretty simple solution. When you create the post you simply have to uncheck the checkbox that appears under the "Additional Options" Box that says "Automatically embed media (requires automatic parsing of links in text to be on)." With this unchecked it will remove the Parsing of the Links to Video and will display them as they should be. If the post has already been made, then click the Edit Button do the above steps - granted the Additional Options Box does not appear on Quick Edit, so you'll have to go into Advance Mode and then do it.
On my Forums I have the Title Extraction option disabled and when a Link is Parsed into a Video, the Container Box shows up with a the name of the Site, such as: Photobucket Videos. Is there anyway that I can change that to something else?
Answer: Yes there is and its quite simple. Do this go to AdminCP > AME CP > Display > *Choose Video Site Here* > [Edit] > Title. In the Title Box type in whatever it is you want it to say at the top of the Video's Container Box.
Some of the videos start to play automatically, can I change it so that it doesnt auto start?
Answer: In some situations you can, but in others you cant. It all depends on how the Site where the video is hosted has the settings set up. As of now, all my RegExs have it so that the video does not automatically start by itself, but some of them still do so because where the file is hosted they have it set up for it to start automatically. Basically, there's not much you can do at this point to make it not auto start.
How can I delete some of the Supported Sites that already come with AME or those that I've installed myself?
Answer: Its quite easy and simple to delete those Sites that you do not want AME to convert into Video ... Simply go to AdminCP > AME CP > Display > *Look for the Video Site you want to Remove* > Select [Delete] from the right hand side > Confirm Deletion by clicking "Yes" on the next screen and you're done!
More FAQs with Answers will be posted as I think of them or as I see them being asked on here ...

Thanks guys and glad to help ... If you have any suggestions as to which other sites you would like to see added to AME, then let me know and if they are doable I will make those RegExs and release them on here so you can import the XML Files ...

efil, no problem, glad to help ... I checked out zShare.net and unfortunately it requires the Extract Info feature in order to work, which I do not know how it functions, so support cannot be added for that site at this time. Sorry ...

Glad you guys like this idea ... I definitely find it a lot easier to keep track of things and update everyone with the New Supported Video Sites too ...
Mecho, if I understood correctly what you are referring to is the Title that displays above the Video in the Post, correct? This Title serves as a Link to the Main Page where the video is actually hosted, but if you want to remove it, it can be done. To remove the Link, simply do the below steps ...
Go to:
AdminCP > AME CP > Settings > Container HTML > Open
In the Open Box Find:
<a href="$url" title="$title" target="_blank">$title</a>
Replace with:
<strong>$title</strong>
What this will do is remove the Link that displays above the Video in a Post. So basically it wont allow the user to click on it for them to go into the Main Page where the video is hosted to view the video there. I hope this is what you were asking as it was a bit difficult to understand what you were trying to refer to in your post. If this was not what you were talking about, please explain a little better and maybe include some Screenshots for be to better understand.

09-06-2007, 08:45 PM
princeedward, oh I see what you mean now. Your previous post was a bit confusing to understand, so I didnt know what you were talking about. From what I can tell not all video sites open up when you click on the Video itself - this is something that is controlled by the Server on which the Video is hosted and how they have their player settings setup. There is no way that we can eliminate it or get around it. This hack was not created with the intention to remove all the links/credit to the site where the video is hosted and only display the video (and steal their bandwidth), but instead to make it much easier for the end-user by them not having to go into the main site to watch the video and instead be able to watch it from the Post itself. Anyways, why would you not want them to be able to access the main site where the video is hosted, what's so bad about it? (ie: YouTube, Google, DailyMotion, etc)
iogames, yep MTV Videos ... Any video from MTV's Overdrive section will be auto embedded  ... I didnt know about Bolt going out of business, sucks I guess ... I never used them but for those who did ...

Dannyloski

Subah, If you install these then you will need to remove the other ones. It doesnt do overwriting ... If you do not delete the old ones, then you will get some display errors as found in Question #1 of the FAQs (Post #2) ... BTW, these haven't changed I simply added them in a Zip for people to download all of them and Import the ones that they need/want which they dont have already.

Per request (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=1334470&postcount=659) on the Original AME Thread I added PutFile to the list. AME will now auto convert PutFile Video URLs into the Actual Video on your post, if you install the XML for PutFile. It has been added to the .ZIP File in the Original Post.
Please note that it does not support the Arcade Section. If on your Forums you post a link to an Arcade Game from PutFile.com it will convert it and make it look like a video, but will just show a black screen, this is something that cant be changed by me. To make it show up as the link instead of a Video simply uncheck the checkbox that appears under the "Additional Options" Box when you make the post that says "Automatically embed media (requires automatic parsing of links in text to be on)." With this unchecked it will remove the Parsing of the Link to Video and will display it as a normal link. For more details check out Question #9 in the FAQs (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=1333200&postcount=2) ...

karlton87, pornotube cannot be added. Xtube, I might add if I get some extra time sometime this week - havent checked if its doable or not.
Dannyloski
09-10-2007, 12:31 AM
ZippyVideos.com & Xtube.com have been added to the Supported Sites list. I was able to test out ZippyVideos.com and it works, but since their Embed Code is with Javascript when you post the message via the Quick Reply option it will load a blank screen with the video, simply refresh the page and the thread will appear with the Video in the post as normal. This only happens when using the Quick Reply option. As far a Xtube, I did not test it as I cannot post videos of this type of content on my Server, so if it doesnt work it'll be kinda hard to troubleshoot it. This is why I dont normally add support for Adult Sites.

Okay, so I added to the Supported List and the .ZIP File (in .XML Format) the Sites that were created by hotwheels (MegaVideo.com, AtomFilms.com, GoGear.com, Guba.com) ... Thanks again for those  ... I did some tweaking to the RegExs made by hotwheels, so that it supports the Video Parsing even when the user doesnt type in "www." or "http://" in the link.
DoB Rhapsody, just checked out FileFront and its not doable without the "Extract Info" Feature, and like I've said before support for those sites that require this Feature are not doable until The Geek explains how to use it and work with it.
As far as Xtube Videos not working, Can someone provide me with some working and non-working links for the Videos, so I can determine why its not working and update the .ZIP File with a fix.
Anyways, just updating you guys on everything ... Hopefully I can be more active now that I have a stable internet connection at my house. Maybe hotwheels and I can team up and get the sites that need to get made done for everyone.

I have been looking at this one and it is a bit tough so far. It has 2 different address's. The embed is a static address and the site has an url, if that make's sense. I haven't quite figured out how to make to different urls work together yet.

09-20-2007, 04:29 PM
DiesellMinded, I know what you mean, that's the only "bad" thing I've found so far about AME - it not recognizing Duplicates XML Imports. Anyways, I always update the List and .ZIP File with the new ones that come out. The latest/most recent ones are in the bottom of the list in the post.
hotwheels, ahhh man, that kinda sucks, I've been trying to figure it out too, but had no luck. And as far as the whole "I haven't quite figured out how to make to different urls work together yet." That is exactly what the Extract Info Feature does. If we could figure it out, then we will be able to do these types of sites.

Piggedy, I just tried that Link and it parsed normally ... What other RegExs do you have installed on your site (List is here: AdminCP > AME CP > Display). The only way to determine which one is causing the problem is to disable each one at a time and each time you disable one check to see if the video gets fixed. Then post up here which one it is thats causing the problem so that hotwheels or me can take a look at the Coding for it and see whats happening. Oh and yeah the Code for Google that you posted is correct ...

Great files guys...
here's one outlet I've been using for videos... It's called http://www.CutFrame.tv maybe someone can get a RegEx together for it as well...
Here's the link code for one of their files:
http://cutframetv.com/view_video.php?viewkey=712c49d51a18a32b39f0
Here's the embed code for it:

<param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
<embed src="http://cutframetv.com/flvplayer.swf?file=http://cutframetv.com/flvideo/324.flv&viewkey=712c49d51a18a32b39f0&autostart=false&showfsbutton=true" loop="false" width="425" height="335" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />

Piggedy, no problem glad to help ... I looked over the coding for SWF Video Files and I noticed an error in it, so I will be fixing that soon and reuploading the .ZIP. A couple other RegExs have the same errors, these will also get fixed.
CodeRed, unfortunately CutFrame.tv requires the use of the Extract Info feature in order to work. For more info look at Question #4 of the FAQs (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=1333200&postcount=2) I made.

CodeRed, no problem ...
Piggedy, I havent compared it to the site's actual content, but my first guess would be that that's not the RegEx that's supposed to be used for that particular site and most likely the Embed Code is incorrect, as well. When I get home, I'll make the RegEx for that site ...

Dannyloski
09-27-2007, 07:52 PM
Alright Guys ... New Update!
I went ahead and added all those RegExs that hotwheels has done up-to-date to the List + to the .ZIP File in .XML format for easy importing! In addition, I fixed the issues that were occurring with the below RegExs:
If you have any of the above RegEx's in your Site, you need to Delete Them and Reupload the most up-to-date version doing the changes to each as required and as stated here or you will begin to have issues with your site. There was a coding error in these RegExs and it will mess up your Site's Display Settings, so please do as I have stated to resolve the issue.
Well, that's it ... Enjoy!

Thanks. I am using FF, I tried copy link location and it worked, but it gave me 2 of the video. In between it says " title="ESPN Videos" target="_blank">ESPN Videos

Awesome aztecboi2003
Is there any possibility to embed .mp4 or .divx video like the Quicktime ones?
This would be great to use my own video on my server.
simple Solution found:
Just rewrite the xml, change mov to mp4.
This seems to me the way to play all QT compatible formats.

Change YOUR_SITE_NAME_HERE to your site's name. (ie: If your site is http://www.talkjdm.com, then you would replace YOUR_SITE_NAME_HERE with talkjdm)
And what about *.de Domains ??

DailyMotion and yahoo does not work. All the shows up is a blank box with the title of yahoo or dailymotion. A fix?
Installed and everything seems to be ok.
Now I found that all videos from myvideo.de show the same video. whatever you post. it is always the same video shown.
But only when using the Internet Explorer, Firefox show the right video.

Borden, do you have the Extract Info box enabled. If you do not, then make sure that you do for those two, cause if not they wont work.
cws, I would have to take a look at the RegExs and determine if there is some type of error in them for myvideo.de. I didnt create it, so there could be some errors I dont know about. Its weird that it only happens on IE and on FF it shows perfectly.
redlabour, no problem ... Remember, do not type in the extension, just the site's name.
I will be adding the RegEx by hotwheels sometime this week to the .ZIP, still having Internet issues at my house, plus I got midterms and other things to worry about - college sucks!

I can do that video link but............
There are 2 different form's of embedding video on that site and i donot know how to get both to show.. as you can see, this is the video link for you url you posted: http://www.jumpcut.com/media/flash/jump.swf?&asset_type=clip&asset_id=D8A70E7A316111DBB4B6961586523BC9&asset_url=/media/dyn/05/2fd9/5ca9a7fa9a242b4a4b6437fc21/lq.flv&eb=1
and this is the linke to the other video's just to the right of that video: http://www.jumpcut.com/media/flash/jump.swf?&asset_type=movie&asset_id=7851A5628ED111DBA3D0A6B200DB926D&eb=1
Now, if all of the video's you want to use ame with are like the first link i showed you, i can do that........or i can do the 2nd link. But i cant do both of them..........It looks to me, like most of the movies fall under the second link....not sure why they have two different embed src's......
This will do the link you posted and any other videos that fall under this type of link, but sadly about 90% of what i looked at won't work under this set up. If you click on the links i posted above, then look in the address bar on your puter, you will see how one is called a clip and the other is movie:

go into your admincp, then down to ame cp, open that......find the jumpcut and click edit......look for the "Replacement" and make the changes in there..... or you can just cut and paste this in that box:

K, i had to make a change to the filefront ame file.......seem's that there are a bunch of different embedded address's such as static1, static2, static3, etc.......So i made the necessary changes required.....(This should fix the problem that towermatt ran into.)
Towermatt, the first thing to do is go into your admincp, then ame cp, click on display, and then look for filefront......over on the right handside, click delete, then follow these steps:
go to the ame cp in your admin control panel and open display. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on "add new".
In the title space, FileFront.com
In the description, Filefront video
In the display order, 414 (or whatever number you want)

Extract destination data, set to yes
Embedding Regexp, Insert: http://([\w]*\.filefront\.com/ffv6/player/vp_embed\.swf\?v=[\w]+)

That is actually a download file......which means they want you to download it to your computer to watch it.........The way that ame works is, if a site has a video that is embedded on a site, grab the address in the address bar and post it to your site. Ame will automatically put that shared video on your page.....
So, if you go to filefront.com right now, and look at the 3rd tab over just above the video player, you will see the word "video". Click on it..........after the page refresh's, you will see a bunch of thumbnails with images, go ahead and click on one of them......I clicked on the second one, which has the name intro.wmv. Once that refreshes, you should be brought to another page with a video player. Now, go ahead and copy the address in the address bar which is http://files.filefront.com/introwmv/;8758251;/fileinfo.html .......now take that address and paste it in a post on your site and click save........once you have done that, you should now be able to watch that trailer/video on your site.......

I know at first this is a pain in the butt, but, you will find this to be an awesome mod. You can literally take a video address from any site; google, youtube, filefront, godtube, etc.....grab the link out of the address bar, paste it to a post and your member's can now view that video on your site, without having to click a link to go see it on another site......This is basically a BBCoDE set up, but fancier....

second on here is sclipo......I couldn't get this one to work correctly with the original xml, so i redid this one......same as above, tested with 10 different sclipo feeds.
Third on here is xvideo host........(Adult Site)

The metacafe videos seem a bit buggy. They embed fine, but look pretty funky - see attached screenshot.
Also, is there anyway to get this to work in vb blog? I tried adding a youtube video to a blog entry and it didn't work.

GRACIAS!

Hey Hotwheels Bro, small request can u make one YOUPORN.COM XML please if you can.......i been waiting for long time....
Thanks.
i am trying to embed http://www.redtube.com/2685 but its not working please tell what is rong?
The below RegEx's appear on the .ZIP, but before you import them to your Site, you must do some changes to the .XML File in order for them to work correctly and not interfere with the other RegExs above. Read below to know what to do.
* RealMedia Videos (.RM & .RAM Extensions)
* Windows Media Player Videos (.WMV Extension)
* QuickTime Videos (.MOV Extension)
* SWF Videos Files
* MP3 Files
In order to have the above RegExs work, you must do the following:
1. Right Click the .XML File and Click Edit (Open in NotePad or WordPad)
2. Look for YOUR_SITE_NAME_HERE in the Code (appears only once for each .XML)
3. Change YOUR_SITE_NAME_HERE to your site's name. (ie: If your site is http://www.talkjdm.com, then you would replace YOUR_SITE_NAME_HERE with talkjdm)
4. Save .XML and Import to your Site - Done!
I'm a little confused, above will only work if file is on my server (domain)?
What about if I want to copy a link that ends with ".mp3" or ".mov" from another server (website)?

K, they have a pretty big site, so what i did when i got to the site was, click on video's, i grabbed several different video links. Since they have xbox, ps2, ps3, i tried to set the code to play those different video trailers. I DIDN'T go any deeper into the site, since i am not a member of that site. This does seem to be working for just about every video i tried:
go to the ame cp in your admin control panel and open display. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on "add new".
In the title space, IGN.com
In the description, IGN.com gaming videos
In the display order, 434 (or whatever number you want)
Active, set to yes
Contain, set to yes
Regular expression, insert:
Whoops, looks like my post got truncated. Well, what I had posted was thanks for this. I didn't think anyone would get around to it this quickly. Much appreciated.
It appears I can only get a default player to show up each time: http://www.cogonline.net/showthread.php?t=49027 Always that same street fighter video, although it does get the title correct each time. I'll keep looking at the code and see if I can't figure out what's causing it on my end. It is a pretty big site. Thanks again.

It's seems to be working perfectly, hotwheels. I don't know how you do it. Thanks a bunch!
The only thing I need to remember to do when I'm picking out my video, is to make sure I close the window a previous video was in, otherwise the URL doesn't change. Took me about five minutes longer then it should have to realize that. LOL. Thanks again, man.
EDIT: Just a quick note. I notice you have the definition description set as Xbox 360. But I tried a Nintendo DS video just in case, and it worked just fine too. Wasnt sure if it was supposed to or not, but real glad it did.

Somebody embedded the South Park Guitar hero video that was on Youtube on one of my sites today. Well it got pulled so I got a little miffed and made up a xml to get it from comedy central. They have an embed link so hopefully it's cool to do it. It's not the cleanest way of doing it but I don't know much about AME. Anyway, after snooping I found can you get the videos at this link when you have the id.

How about Smugmug.com?
Online media sharing site SmugMug today rolled out a major upgrade that provides an edge over Flickr and other media sharing sites. The site is now one of the first to provide both photos as well as HD video: users can upload QuickTime-ready video up to 720p (1280x720) that can be played at native resolution. High-resolution videos are automatically downsampled for extra editions that will scale properly for DVD players and iPods; the iPhone and iPod touch are supported as well and now play video directly from the website, SmugMug says.

Quick question on flicker and smugmug, since they are image sites and not video, wouldn't you be able to just copy and paste the addy to a picture and upload it to a post? Shouldn't take an xml to do that should it?
There is no player .swf or .flv, etc.......to covert.

- I see your point but flickr has metadata (photo title, description) that could be put in the top bar (a la this BBcode hack (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=143578).)

Tigratrus, I went to phpmotion.com and did some reading on their software. Their example site is phpmotion.net. Where there are catagories and videos. So i built this test .xml for you based off of the .net site, since that was the only site where a video example was available.
I broke the .xml down to it's easiest form, that way if you want to mess with it, it should be fairly easy. Once you have the phpmotion software uploaded onto your server, you should be able to use this xml and put your own site logo on the videos.....
If you have any questions or need any help, i will do my best to help ya.

Subject: Problems installing AME 1.2.0
From: wayside616 (Member)
Geek,
Please don't taunt me too badly - I'm just an English major!!
Anyway, I've got VBulletin 3.6.8 installed, and I've downloaded AME 1.2.0.
When I used the "Manage Products" option to point to the products .xml file for the AME package it seemed to install without a hitch.
I couldn't easily find admincp->AME CP->Settings in the VBulletin admin module. Ultimately I did find AME settings under VBulletin Options in the left-hand channel. At the very bottom of all the settings sets, there appears AME Settings.
These setting options are not exactly the same as those described in your troubleshooting options:

There is a setting option entitled Extract destination data. That option, which does seem to have something to do with Resolving URL titles -- is set to no.
Instead of "Resolve URL titles, I find Extract destination data That option is set to "No" as well.
Parsing URLs and embedding video aside, enabling the AME product immediately creates some pretty basic issues on the site. When I click on the quote button for an existing message, I get the following error message:

I cant get the MP3 one working... this is the code I have...
<embed name="MYsPLAYER.com" src="http://www.MYsPLAYER.com/ANGELsMYsPLAYER.swf?audio1=$p1&autoplay=OFF&shuffle=OFF&color=000000&textcolor=FFFFFFF" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="278" height="40"></embed>
It seems that the AME converts all the & to & and I think that screws with it.

Great mod, but I'm having trouble getting the MTV videos to play:
AME converts to the following url, it shows the image but I can't play the video.

go to the ame cp in your admin control panel and open display. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on "add new".
In the title space, Daily Motion
In the description, Auto link Daily Motion Videos
In the display order, 80 (or whatever number you want)
Active, set to yes
Contain, set to yes
Regular expression, insert: [http://]*[a-z]*?[\.]?dailymotion\.[a-z\.]+([&\w;=\+_\-\/]*)
Replacement, insert: <object width="425" height="335"><param name="movie" value="$p1"></param><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true"></param><embed src="$p1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="335" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
Extract destination data, set to yes
Embedding Regexp, insert: value="([http://]*[a-z]*\.dailymotion\.[a-z]+/swf/[\w\d]+)"
That should do it for ya Borden
I've tried also your code, but it don't work.
Does anybody has a updated code?

Nice work :)
is there a way, that these ones
• RealMedia Videos (.RM & .RAM Extensions)
• Windows Media Player Videos (.WMV Extension)
• QuickTime Videos (.MOV Extension)
• SWF Videos Files
• MP3 Files
played the files from the attachments? That User can load the Files over the Attachement and they will be played in the Thread? And what happened with AAC and MP4/h264Files?

I made a small change to the xml and it seem's to be working correctly now. I just tested that link with the new xml and the video plays.
Go to your admincp, ame cp, display, find viddler and delete it. Now click on import, and locate the new viddler xml and import it.........should be good to go.

Right now, it will only play one video...........I can't get the regular expression to play anything else since they have the ad.media as the main call for thier videos.....if that makes sense......I have to figure out how to get rid of the commercials......
Any update on NFL?

Thank you very much for the great mod and the extra work put in for viddler, it is appreciated.
Any update to the CurrentVid XML? It still looks for the .tv url, but they changed their website to .com some time ago. Something else needs to be changed in it also.

It seems www.revver.com (http://www.revver.com/) changed the formation of their URLs. Older links work, but newer ones don't. I've been studying regular expressions trying to see if I could get this to work myself, but so far I have not managed to make it work for the new URLs. If anyone gets a chance, it would be nice if they could have a look at this one. I'll keep working on it myself too.

Okay, I think this will work. If someone is brave enough to try this, remember that I don't really know what I'm doing. But at least, maybe someone can tell me if what I did was proper. NOTE: Don't overwrite your existing Revver settings. Create a new one, otherwise your old links will stop working.
Go to Admin CP >>> AME CP >>> Display >> Add New.
Name: Revver II
Active: Yes
Contain: Yes
Regular Expression:
http://www\.revver\.com/video/([0-9]+)/.[a-z\.]+([&\w;=\+_\-\/]*)/
Replacement:
<embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://flash.revver.com/player/1.0/player.swf" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" scale="noScale" salign="TL" bgcolor="#000000" flashvars="mediaId=$p1&affiliateId=0&allowFullScreen=true" allowfullscreen="true" height="392" width="480"></embed>
Save.
Okay, let me know if I did that right. Still learning. Did a little hybridization to get it to work.
