Scheduled Tasks question

in our forum we have got a night chat topic so this topic open after 00:00pm to 04:00pm only.. somebody have to open the thread and close at 4.00 everyday.. i was wondering is there anyway to do this with scheduled task i don't want to install any products. thank you for your help

Sure, write a cron (scheduled task) to open the thread and run that task at midnight, then write a cron job to close the thread and run that task at 4pm.
