Hi all,

I am looking for a mod that allows me to set up automatic notifications for when certain users make posts - read: forum troublemaker observation ;)

Basically, you would tag a forum meber and whenever that person posts, a notification is sent to a certain (moderator) account or email address.

Maybe something like that is already around, in that case I would appreciate a hint!

Just wondering if anybody saw this and if you know of anything. I am looking for the same thing.

Easy answer: add the trouble makers to a new usergroup where posts have to be manually approved by moderators.

As an alternative, you can add an email address when you edit the forum to be advised of new posts - thats all new posts however, not just trouble makers.

Both alternatives are not really practical - auto-moderating specific people is likely to freak them out and make them (more) aggressive, and new post notifications for a forum with a high post volume also misses the intended purpose of just being notified about specific posts only. Thanks for the feedback anyway!

I agree. I already knew about those two solutions but this is for members who have not reached the point of really needing to be moderated or banned but just watched a little closer.

Still no solution for this, so allow me to bump it one more time...
