disappearing images?

Hi-
My user profile pictures were fine till the other day but have disappeared and we can't figure it out.
In IE we get the little red x, in FF nothing.
Some gifs on the site are still showing up fine, gp is active on the server, as is ImageMagik.

This is the 'View Source' code:
<img src="image.php?u=35&amp;dateline=1188425749&amp;type=profile" width="60" height="60" alt="dave's Profile Picture" border="0" style="border:1px solid #FFFFFF; border-top:none" />

Any help is appreciated.

'View Source' code should have the FULL image path.

thanks.. I went through the options->image settings but don't see where to set the dynamically generated image path to full.
Do I have to tinker with the image,php page?

on vBulletin's advice we checked all our plugins and that was where the problem was
