Say you are using two skins, and then you install a few mods from the forum for your vbulletin forum.

Then someone makes you a custom vbulletin skin coded and all, you install that and it works fine. Does that mean you have to re install all the mods you previously installed?

thanks.

If any of those modifications required manual template edits, yes, they would all need to be re-done.

Ok and if they were xml just products then they don't need to be?

Like Kirk Y mention. You'll only do it if it ask you to edit a template.

Some modification will automatic do some template edits and if it ask you to edit. You'll have to edit it.

No. The modificatiosn are already installed; there is no need to reinstall them.
However, if the modifications require manual template modifications and the modified templates in the new style are not inherited from a parent style that already has them applied, you must apply those template modifications to the new templates.

All the XML's go to all the styles dont they, Its just the template modifications that need to be re-done.

It really depends on the modification and the custom style..

Some modifications require you to do manual edits while other will do the edits for you (automatically).

Regardless of the type, you may still have errors (may have to do manual edits) because the custom style may have too many changes.
