Can someone please let me know how to remove my "News and Feedback" category without losing my sub forums within it. In the end, I would like to have "Welcome to Cappers Insight" as the category and "Welcome and Introductions", "Cappers Insight Forum Rules", "News and Announcements", and "Cappers Insight Feedback" all as sub forums.
In case you need to see it to get what I'm talking about

Thanks Eric

Hello EricC.
You need to edit your sub forums in forum manager and change the parent forum for each of them first so they aren't attached to the category you want to remove. Once the category hasn't got anything attached to it you can safely delete it.
You have to make sure nothing is attached to the category before you delete or you will lose everything still attached.

Thanks tinkerbell...Now one last question. How do you make members moderators? With that, I would like only the mods to be the ones who can PM each other.
Thanks,
Eric

You're welcome EricC. To make a member a moderator:-
1. Change the members status in the usergroup options section of their profile to moderator.
2. In forum manager go to the forum you want that member to moderate and add them to that forum
. With that, I would like only the mods to be the ones who can PM each other.
1. If you have private messaging switched on in your vbulletin options you set the permissions for which group can use it in the usergroup manager. Click edit usergroup for the different groups and set them to who you want to be able to use private messaging.
If you have any difficulty give me a shout, I will stay online for a while.

Usergroups >>>usergroup manager>>>>registered users (edit usergroup)
7th box down>>private message permissions.......
Maximum Stored Messages:If you set this to 0 users from this usergroup will not be able to use private messaging.
Set it to '0' ;)
