This happening to anyone else lately? I don't do all that much eBay-ing, but this is the first time I've gotten 5 scam "questions" on the same auction.

I used to do a lot of shopping on eBay, but I was ripped off by a woman from Hong Kong a few years back...now I rarely go there.

I've dealt with people from the U.K. and Hong Kong. Other than that all of my purchases were within the U.S. So far only good experiences. :) I have not yet sold anything on eBay, however.

Many horror stories and food for thought about auctions/selling or dealing with far off nations here (http://www.fraudwatchers.org).
I've never had an account on eBay, can't bring myself to trust it. Probably for the best though, I'd be skint in a few days. :D
Ooo shiny things -->> ????'s

Like ColdSpirit said, always deal with people who have 100% positive feedback. And staying within your own country is a definite good idea.

Buy the odd hard to get DVD off eBay, and on occasion have grabbed something else that was going at a reasonable price. Problem is a few bootlegs are on eBay and seem to doing nothing about it.
Noticed lately on the Downunder one a lot of retailers are selling through eBay so prices suck end of day. Sorry it costs $17 shipment to post an item in my own City
Warning for Aussies buying concert or sports tickets off eBay. The Feds are stepping in to stamp it out and you are not guaranteed admittance to the venue if your ticket is off eBay as a whole bunch of cricket fans found out last year.

A common scam where the product is cheap but the shipping cost is sky high.

Hey tell us how that goes, Wii is pretty hard to source in Australia at the moment. Prices on the com.au are heading well over retail at the moment.

I bought another 4 Nintendo wii consoles and only got them because a very good friend worked in gamestation. I even got 20% off each box but they are very hard to get in the uk, they are selling like hot cakes.
I wouldn't even think about purchasing a wii on ebay at this time.

What is it with Wii this year? The platform has been out for over a year and suddenly people are going mental to get one. We managed to score one for our Son after checking like 10 different places. Reminds me of the great Tickle Me Elmo issue a number of years back.

The 4 other consoles I purchased are xmas gifts for relatives, they couldn't buy one, they seen mine, borrowed it. So when I got the chance it was either lending mine out or purchasing a good deal that I couldn't really turn down. It keeps their kids happy and it is for them.
I purchase my own wii about 7 months ago. Just not off ebay.
