View Full Version : Arcade Images Downloading

Hi

I'm having a problem with the arcade images downloading when they shouldn't be. Sometimes, when people are viewing my forum index page, images from the arcade/images folder start to download in the background. You can see in the status bar these images are downloading, and it's causing serious lag for people just trying to view my forum.

Can anyone think of why this is happening please? I've checked in my index.php file on my forum and there is no reference anywhere to the arcade, other than normal hyper-links to the arcade.php file.

Any help would be much appreciated? :)

Sorry about the late reply. They are both. The images are .gifs and when the forum pages are loading it starts to download 100's of them and members have to wait before they are able to read any pages, i.e. arcade/images/***.gif

Any help would be much appreciated :)

check your arcade-settings:

arcade main settings -> postbit display style

set this to "trophy only" and check if this helps ...

Since I enabled 'Trophy' only some of my members can see the icon and some cannot. I don't suppose you know what's causing this do you please? :)

Trophy only shows up for players that have at least one highscore.
Mouseover on the icon tells you how many highscores the player has.

The gameicon-loading stopped ?

The game-icon loading didn't happen all the time but since I did as you suggested it hasn't happened at all :)

The players/members who can't see the icons do have highscores but they still can't see the trophy?

I'm wondering if the problem has anything to do with the skins I use. The trophy appears on some of the skins but not on others. I'm not sure how to rectify that though :erm:
