Brief Introduction:

What we have here is an expansion of a lot of tools that deal with ?effective? communication with your forums members by and through the vBulletin forums system. As you know there are many modifications on the vBulletin.org (http://www.vbulletin.org/) website that?ll help you manage all of these means, some are lacking other essential needs or you are simply too tired to figuring out which one doesn?t work with what hack. Overall, we have built EPC vBMailer to be the overall and ONLY solution to your vBulletin e-mailing needs. Because you request it in here, we will build it without any questions!

After endless reading on the forums at vbulletin.org, we have found it to be a wise decision to release a LITE and a FULL version (http://www.blogtorank.com/vbmailer-vbulletin-mailer.html), basically a trial version before you buy? Where the trial will not ever end, it?s just a lighter version to the FULL version which has an extended amount of features in it that handles ALL of your e-mailing needs in one!

Conclusion:

You have installed at LEAST 5+ separate hacks to mount up to what we just created but coded you here in the LITE version, do note this, in the FULL version for less than a happy meal you will have even more flexibility. Whether you wanted to run a newsletter, or send out a series of e-mails (autoresponders) or simply schedule the sending times and letting EPC vbMailer will do it for you seamlessly.

In the LITE version, you will need to note, there is a set limit on how many e-mails that can be sent out due to the core of the LITE wasn?t designed to handle UNLIMITED.

Make sure you check it out in the LITE first to see if this is something you would like, with full SUPPORT too you if you clicked install. Bottom line, we are just happy to accommodate anyone and everyone.

How do I get support?

Also comes with a 22 page End-User Documentation, all clean and sectioned out for you in PDF. Make sure you have Adobe READER v6+ not a RIPPER :)

Support is given to those who click INSTALL...

However if you have questions before installing do let us know, we have tested this on 3.6.8, and if you have a forums that is prior, please let us know if this works and report this here! Others will appreciate it a lot.

All support for the LITE version will be held here only if you click install, and if you purchase the full version all support is handled in the order received by our full-time reps in the CSC, NO support is held here for the FULL version!

I have a few questions about the full version of EPC mailing:

1. Wich are the differences between LITE and FULL ?

Differences are not much but more flexibility and support for sending out unlimited vs the LITE not coded to have support for sending out Autoresponders and not able to handle unlimited e-mails as two main differences, each one has the same features, just in the FULL you have more control over the settings and it handles unlimited. For you to see the difference of the two you should go to the webpage for the FULL and compare it via screenshots if needed. You are welcome, and do note the LITE wasn't designed for the AR = Autoresponder, so therefore you can work with by saving them and if you like this whole addition, feel free to check out the FULL version, it's just about as a tough as it gets! I think there is NOTHING in there for a full e-mail solution that any webmaster needs if they own vBulletin.

However that's my opinion and it comes with a product installer, 22 page manual, and so much more. Even comes with our support!

Yes, absolutely, if they belong to your forums, you can simply mail them to your fingers can't mail no more. Everything works behind the scenes, you set the templates up, you go to compose email, select the first template you want mailed, hit next, preview the email and set the times you want it gone. It all works off the clocks :) or you can mail it right then and there.

It's all up to you. Also, works behind the scenes so you don't have to hit the button next after so many and etc... The FULL version has a sleeper which you can send in intervals at your choosing, i.e. 5 emails sleep however many seconds... 10 emails per however many seconds... and etc...

YES absolutely, however do note this... If their e-mail client they use has it set to txt format, and you send an e-mail plus text version. vbMailer will figure it out and serve them the right one. Meaning the system is totally smart!

2 - For newsletter type function, is there a publicly viewable archive that could be activated. This way past newsletters could be browsed. Not a huge deal if it is not, could just duplicate the newsletter in a archive thread...but it would make for a nice feature.

We have over 7.3 Million in a database you think we will release something that can't handle the load of it all? Yes you can send this with our tool, we got clients using this tool and other tools on "SHARED" hosting with 5GB databases full of email addresses... This is a branch off our MadMailer.

I have no idea who oximailing is, and don't actually care to, but they don't have a vb product do they? Heck our own AR MadMailer can plug into anything. You should check it out in my Sig and compare that against OXIMailing.

Future releases all depend on what YOU need or want in the tool.

No limits, but as you know this is PHP and what is your max run time on a script to run within your php.ini? Well if you figure there are 150 per hour / 60 minutes = 2.5 a minute am I right? Will your php.ini allow you to run a script and allow it to sleep for a few between emails? Why would a host only allow 200 per hour? I would be changing hosts if I seen 200 per hour.................. :eek:

There is a hack for this, and I can't recall the name... Ours is for the admins and owners of the forums.

How do you know and figure? They aren't sent out as CC, you set your own settings to whatever you need, it's speculation rather than facts, where do you see this happening because it's coming from your FORUMS.... So you configure it to your likings! Maybe you have had a raw deal with some can't just going around speculating on something you haven't installed, if you aren't posting in retrospect to our hack I asked that you not post in our description.

No I think there may have been some confusion before.

Basically the paid subscriptions in vbulletin when someone signs up and buys something from the forums/payments.php page there is no email/pm notification sent to them. For people who use the paid subscriptions in vbulletin for one thing or another, it is quite often very useful to set up a email/pm notification to say thanks, or to let them know what they have to do next, or to let them know what features that now have access to etc. but currently there is only one mod on vbulletin.org that does this, but it is buggy.

I pretty much want the exact same mod that I showed you before (the premium version of it), with the extra feature I suggested (being able to set up unique emails for each different subscription you have set up) and without the bugs that it comes with.

If that was provided in this mod (or as a separate mod) but I think it comes under the inclusion of this mod as it is a All in One Email solution. It would really make my day!

I have a question about how the mod handles bounced emails. I currently use EZ Bounced Email Management for Admins (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=138884)...I like the feature for the mod where it PM's the member saying that their email is out of date and that it has been removed until they update their email. What I don't like is that I have to go through the 100's of bounced emails a day and click a link to put the user into bounced management.

Your mod says it handles the bounced emails itself, does it also send the PM's the members saying they need to update their email? If not, I would love for this addon. I'll be checking out the FULL version once I get home...I'm pretty sure I'll get it. :) Anything to support a great cause and great coders ;)

It has only been tested on 3.6.8, but it's worth a try on 3.6.7 PL1. It certainly doesn't touch anything important, so I would give it a try.

If it sends the PM we have to make sure they are not to receive any sort of e-mail after they have been de-activated. So yes this can be done both ways, so yes if you are wanting this portion added we will add it.

Blending words do sound good to the ears when mixed right after a lack of sleep. We have a solution that has a subscribe to which is our MadMailer (universal plug-n-play :) see my sig for this.), which vbMailer was derived from.

I think they should sign up for your forums, knowing and acknowledge that they are signing up for any and all e-mails from the admins/ of the forums, which gives you the authority to send out what you like and how you like as long as they keep receiving e-mails from the admins if they opt to sign-up.

So you are saying you would like an opt-in type of form that vbMailer would make for you to place on your forums for others to sign-up with?

yes exactly, an opt-in type for a regular newsletter. We already send out emails to all users when needed to announce site upgrades, server downtime expectations, things like that. I have yet to see a plugin/product that would accomplish a full featured newsletter mod for the forums.

OK when I visit /admincp/vbmailer_config.php I get a blank page. I have uploaded the file in ASCII mode and I have installed the product.

Maybe you could have a "vbMailer" option in "vBulletin Options" instead. :)

It's all up to you. Also, works behind the scenes so you don't have to hit the button next after so many and etc... The FULL version has a sleeper which you can send in intervals at your choosing, i.e. 5 emails sleep however many seconds... 10 emails per however many seconds... and etc...

Not our shared hosting, we have that option in there to do it, but you can send unlimited as you like. I'll send you a link later to ours if you PM me requesting this. Yes you can use the full version to make it work that way! Not at 50 per day, php will go to sleep and the process will die...

Remember this is a PHP script, and if it times out because of a prolonged sleep of sends of e-mails then you need to adjust it, or better yet get away from the oh so "Limited" hosts!

Yes this is up to your server you are on and if it supports it, see the docs on this.. We support SMTP, phpmail(), and sendmail.

I bought the full version (well worth the price). I had a bit of trouble with install, but the people at blogtorank had me up and running fast -- great service! I can't wait to use this. I also need (actually have to have by law) an unsubcription link.
I didn't see a way to delete a future emailing after you've created it. I think that needs to be in there.


Those are things I can think of right now. I REALLY like the auto-features in this script. It's going to make my life a lot easier.

Why would you want a HTML or Text our system does this automatically, it'll serve them their required type... Meaning it's a smart system ;) In another words that's one less thing they need to worry about, I had a lady ask me what's HTML e-mail vs TXT. So you see what I mean? It will serve them their needs per their e-mail client's settings, basically if they can only get TXT then the text portion is served... See what I mean? If it's HTML they can get then they get the pretty HTML version...

Just fill in the text one only :) That's all you have to do, you don't HAVE to fill in the HTML...

Yeah, definitely not "as easy as 1-2-3", but something we will surely look into, at the least.

I'm a little surprised vBulletin doesn't already ask user's preference on this.

Anyway, adding this would require we went in and manually edited vBulletin files, which I like to stay away from as much as possible because then you have to:

A) Have a user overwrite his existing file, which could cause REAL trouble for users with different vB versions or for users who have edited that given file themselves before
B) Have a user manually edit the file, which is an inconvenience and is unprofessional in my opinion. One or two edits isn't a big deal, but the edits required on this scale would be a lot more astronomical.

Anyway, I will look into it and see if there's some way we can't make it an easier edit, maybe somewhere in their User CP or something, but at first glance, I'd say don't get your hopes up on this one.

EDIT: Was pondering this and began to wonder if it can't be done with the plugin system.

Will definitely look into this idea for v1.2 or 1.3.

I went for the FULL license plus a nice donation, I haven't gotten to use or set it up yet, I'll leave my feedback on that part tomorrow. But the support....is....AMAZING. Blogtorank sat with me for over an hour just to get everything properly working. He had great patience...and he had to get into my server and change a few things around to get this to work right since I had a few things out of date I believe.

I highly recommend this product...I mean c'mon, just don't eat at mcdonalds for a day and you'll have a great product, made by great people, with absolutely great support.

So finding the problem of Zend and IONCUBE can cause a lot of problems, as you had vbseo installed and the Zend version with it. So as a note to anyone that has issues with IONCUBE and Zend, you can simply just add a Zend Extension to your php.ini as an example:

There are different ways to sending... One is to send now by clicking Compose E-mail Then put in your e-mail content in the text and html area or whatever combo.

Press the Send, and then it'll take you to the preview page then you set it from there to send now by just hitting Send or you can schedule the time from there. See the manual that outlines all these options. 20+ pages worth to read and view images! :)

No biggie, we make an "Add-on" and build a plugin feature into our vbmailer before long that's the same thing we did here for MadMailer (http://www.blogtorank.com/email-newsletter-madmailer.html#PlugnPlay)

We built what you call a "Universal Plugin" so now we are looking to expand vbmailer this way as it seems! Because your choose from html or text will be a series of changes and will require an add-on to our vbMailer!

BTW, no you aren't no pest, we only build the BEST which is what the end-user wants.

Alright, I just finished my html template :) So now I'm trying to send out a test email to make sure everything is fine.

Here's my problem:
I have all the emails going from the site being sent through azzidreign@se7ensins.com
and I have set up my gmail account to accept those emails and then remove them from the server....will vbmailer be able to get any of the bounced emails and go through its bounced process?

Also, how do I set up the SMTP information or do I need to? I've never really messed with mail clients :S

Well if you set up SMTP this is just like setting up a POP3 account inside a mail client such as outlook and etc... Once you have a successful connection setup inside vbmailer will login to this connection using our pop3 class to handle all the bounces accordingly.

What I would do is this:

Setup a new user on your forums with something like: lksfasklfsadfh8asdfhysauidf@aol.com as their e-mail address.

After having all of the SMTP in place, vbMailer will take care of the rest when you send out an e-mail. From Sending the e-mail, to handling the bounces and then making sure they are inactivated on all e-mail correspondence to and from the forums (and sent a PM inside the FULL version which you have I believe). Follow me so far? :)

Ok, so then I do want to set up the SMTP? Now how would I go about doing that...sorry, I'm newb when it comes to the mail clients and setting up things like that and outlook lol. And would I have to have it log into my main gmail account or will it be able to log into my @se7ensins.com account via my gmail :S grr, so confused.

Here you go using Google's SMTP for vbMailer as follows:


Username: Enter your full Gmail email address (username@gmail.com)

Password: This is your gmail password...

Mail Server: smtp.gmail.com

One more thing to note, you have to turn Forwarding / POP3 on inside Gmail, go to your Settings inside your Gmail account and see this tab: Forwarding and POP

Make sure you have this enabled to use this feature! (In Yahoo you have to pay for this feature :rolleyes:)

That's what I get, though I've removed certain parts of that with ****. But this is my 3rd test. My first 2 tests were with my admin usergroup (the quoted above is testing my mods). 2 out of 4 emails sent to my admins on both admin tests. On this mod test, 5 out of 6 were sent out. I've tried to look through stuff but I can't find anything. I even upped the max exec. time for php files from 120 to 500 but I still get the same as setting it to 120.

EDIT: I figured it out! I know why it's timing out! All the people that aren't receiving the emails have the setting for RECEIVE EMAILS FROM ADMINS set to NO! Is there any way to make it skip them so it doesn't time out or some sort of work around for this...? B/c on this last test, one of my staff emails bounced so his email settings were set to off. So when I go to run this again, the script seems to get caught in a loop.


EDIT #2: Maybe I was wrong about that....I've set all my admins to working emails + they can receive emails from admins now. And I still get the same error:

There seems to be a configuration on your server that's giving this much grief of killing off the script... I'll get with you and figure this out, did you update to v1.2 and this is on your main forums now and not the test forums? Also, I'll make you a special asterisks file just so you can blank out the password and get with you here shortly on gtalk.

Make sure your sleeper is off, because this may help or even solve the problem.

Check your vbMailer settings.

Make sure your sleeper is off, because this may help or even solve the problem.

Check your vbMailer settings.
I did have it at 0 when I did the first test. But it shouldn't be a problem since it's only emailing 5 people at most and the sleeper is for 25 emails if I remember correctly.

Oh it is server-side, and I have been server-side with this server for over 6+ hours today, finding this as one culprit:

disable_functions = show_source, system, shell_exec, popen, proc_open, allow_url_fopen


Among other culprits as barring to send out via SMTP... :( Alot of restrictions in place here on this server and for another I have a success here:

Have you figured this out? It's very easy to do by simply using Compose e-mail and preview what you are sending, set the time when you want to send it and done.

I don't know where to begin...blogtorank has got to be the most kind, generous, helpful person I've yet to meet on the internet. He's offered his valuable time to help me out and get this running.

Let's see...I've had to move servers b/c it was poorly configured which is why we couldn't get the script running properly. Before we moved though, blog had put in around 32 hours to go through my server and see where the problems were and to see if he could fix them. Sadly, the server was just straight effed that there was nothing we could do but move.

I asked for him to help me get my new servers properly configured and secured (for a fee of course ;) happy to pay for great help anytime). He's been helping configure, troubleshoot, find bugs, and get everything running as smoothly as possible...STILL to this minute. He put in a full 24 hours...that's right, no sleep yesterday, to help me get the server up and running. We got it up and everything was running smoothly until my site received a bunch of SYN attacks on our database server.

At this moment, he's STILL helping me out and I just wanted to let everyone know how much of a help this guy is! I've never seen such dedication! So all in all...he's prolly put in 60+ hours into help me and my site and on top of that, he's been able to release fixes to his mods that had security vulns.

Amazing work! Hats off to my man blogtorank. I hope to see this on one of your blogs as a testimonial to customer support and satisfaction :D

May be useful to evaluate whether variables are parsed correctly and whether html is rendered as expected in different email clients.

Yes this will send out per the USERGROUP that you choose to test with, also, you will be able to select all, we kept it per what the users that requested it this way, where you can choose All or a specific group to send to.

On the rendering of the htmls do this as a test:

Choose that you are allowed HTML e-mails as a "New user" however on your end make it inside your e-mail client to NOT accept html...

Send out all e-mails to this new user both in text and html, which you will see this is sent.

Now after the send, take a look inside your inbox and remember that you shouldn't receive e-mails as HTML, open this e-mail... If you see it as text this means that our system served you with a text e-mail so it doesn't come out garbled and looking trashy ;)

Is this text hard-coded in the PHP files? I couldn't find it in the phrases. If so can you please add an option to change or customise this - I already have a more user-friendly notice on the bottom of my emails and I don't want this on there.

Secondly, what happens to a mailing if it gets stuck or times out in the middle somewhere? Our current mailer solution (not in VB) allows us to continue mailing from the point that it timed out, so we can ensure no users get repeat emails. Our test mailings in 'Review Campaigns' have some failed emails (with valid addresses though) - do subsequent crons try to send these failed emails or is that it?

The failed emails won't try to go out again. When an email fails, the user is put to a "bounce list" so that they don't receive emails again. In the FULL edition, that user will receive a PM saying they need to update their email.

Yes we are finding that doing a run on your forums there it's taking forever to login to your POP accounts for some apparent reason or another, as said we would better diagnose this if we had full access to this server. We are trying our hardest on this and trying to diagnose this issue that you are having and can't seem to pinpoint it with these issues.

I'm not sure if this could be easily integrated, but there's a mod for inactive users, to where it sends out emails every day to people who've been inactive for x many days (here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=138946&highlight=reminder+email))...I thought it might be nice to have it along side this mod so that you can review the campaigns, see who's receiving emails and who's not. And for those that we can get in contact with at all, I guess we could move them to an inactive usergroup :P

It's just a thought, I can deal with having 2 separate mods :)

Very good idea to add-in, it falls within the e-mailing feature :) for sure! Notated for a future release here, as we do want to make an all-in-one system so you don't have to install 50 hacks in respect to one core element of e-mailing. Thanks for the suggestion.

Timezone is all setup on your mail server, admincp, the usercp. It sends out in respect to what you have configured there, it's not we modify the headers, it's your mail server itself.

Why not post a few examples here in a text file you are sending and I'll test it out on ours and use "OUTLOOK Express" normally your e-mail client is the issue on that on how things are displayed. Even look at the above example under our description of this mod to see a "plain text" and the outcome as "plain text"

Another note, when settings for your "Spamassassin" You need to think about being conservative if you are running a online business because if you set it too hard that's to block out spam then the Bayes will be all thrown off as it learns these e-mails, if you are "testing" then you need to disable the spamassassin all together while "TESTING." Because we tested on yours with Subjects: lsjasfjsdhfsd and it came back as spam as you reported... You should see more on how to configure the Spamassassin to be more conservative here:

Timezone is all setup on your mail server, admincp, the usercp. It sends out in respect to what you have configured there, it's not we modify the headers, it's your mail server itself.

I would have made the change myself but you guys have encrypted the PHP mailer class in your script package (it's open source...what's up with that?).

Why not post a few examples here in a text file you are sending and I'll test it out on ours and use "OUTLOOK Express" normally your e-mail client is the issue on that on how things are displayed. Even look at the above example under our description of this mod to see a "plain text" and the outcome as "plain text"

Good - I hope it improves the situation.

The timezone issue in the date needs to be fixed as it is giving mail meesages a high Spam Assassin score (timezone is invalid). Our server is in a .5 timezone so I don't know if that is part of the problem or not.

There also seems to be an issue with sending plain text emails and receiving them as text on Outlook Express. Line breaks are not included, either when typing direct into the text area or when pasting text from a text editor. I have tested this with vbMailer on Mac and PC and it occurs on both.

What's up with what? Someone being a human being and that being a mistake there on obfuscation time (With your test script that we uploaded last night in and around 2-3:00AM). On v1.5 we did make sure the open source isn't obfuscated (All in all reality you can change modify the scripts or products that are within their TERMS)

To patch that if you like on 1/2 hour timezones feel free here to doing so until we factor that into our upcoming version to see (IF) any conflicts may occur for others.

I do not quite understand your issue. The email not sending and the task not running are two different issues. You posted your task output in a previous post, and I see that it says:


2: Do not run


To extend this a little bit for you, it means the email is scheduled to run after the current time. So if this is the issue, make sure you scheduled the email for the correct time.

If your task isn't running automatically, however, you should check the following:


Warning:
vBulletin?s scheduled tasks system does not constantly run on the server like cron and scheduled tasks in Windows?. Tasks are automatically run when a user browses your board, so if your board does not have any traffic at a given time, tasks scheduled to run then will not run until later.
vBulletin?s scheduled tasks also will not run when you board is turned off.


In other words, it all works assuming you have traffic on your board. If no one visits your site, the task won't run.

You may also want to check your footer template, as if it's been modified, this can cause trouble if the '$cronimage' code is removed.

It sends you say, then you tried to send to your registered users and nothing happens, I'm utterly confused now :| What bid? Do you have the FULL version? If so and if you have a issue, do create a support ticket on that with all of your login information via SSH / FTP, and make us a superadmin to the forums.

If this is a LITE issue, then what one are you referencing? If it's about the Scheduled tasks, what can we do there? Inkybro posted too you how that works...

So finding the problem of Zend and IONCUBE can cause a lot of problems, as you had vbseo installed and the Zend version with it. So as a note to anyone that has issues with IONCUBE and Zend, you can simply just add a Zend Extension to your php.ini as an example:

See the first line? I installed ioncube to a folder under Zend and took it from there by adding the line zend_extension = /usr/local/Zend/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_4.4.so

You need to download the loaders from IONCUBE's website that fit your server's OS to anywhere within your server.

Create a zend_extension within your php.ini file as it shows above that I posted to the proper loader for your PHP version.

Basically that's about it! How you do it and how it's all done should be on your sysadmin, they don't have this installed on there?

Typical x86 *nix setup with Zend under /usr/local/:

# php -v
~ cd /usr/local/Zend/
~ wget http://downloads2.ioncube.com/loader_downloads/ioncube_loaders_lin_x86.tar.gz
~ tar -zxvf ioncube_loaders_lin_x86.tar.gz
~ cd ioncube
~ ls -la

Nope :mad: my site hosting service didn't help me with this...

Site error: the file /home/iogamesc/public_html/chat/admincp/vbmailer.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_4.4.so to be installed by the site administrator.

and my line on PHP.ini is this:

I have done some testing and I don't think custom usergroups are supported. I can send an email to the Administrators group ok but if I select a custom usergroup in the Send to dropdown the campaign runs but no emails are sent. Can anyone confirm this is working on v 1.5 FULL?

many many problems with full version. The docs only available for 1.2 and seems not correct.

1. Cron job dont create log entry's (have checked) and don't send newsletters
2. There a lot of fields missing in the settings like smtp.host and sleeping time.
3. Delete Bounce on pop don't work. I must put the pop host manually in the php and insert the field smtp.host and insert there the pop-server - then i can login, but bounces are not deleted.
Seems that you use smtp.host field for pop - Login?:down:
4. Cron job dont work on shell - try curl and Php - Licence Server Invalid

Same story from me - purchased the full version, then spent quite some time sorting out issues with them and acting as a beta tester. First newsletter that we sent using this system sent 3 copies to our 5000 member mailing list - can't afford for that to happen again.

I have asked for a refund via support and have then had those tickets closed and deleted.

I want the HTML editor, I tried to add the code several times and each time I get an error trying to open the admin control panel. Yes, I reloaded.. it doesnt help. Yes, I tried the change several times and no, it didn't help.

I also cannot "Add Newsletter." When I click Add Newsletter, it says "Send Every" must be greater than 0. No matter what number I choose from the dropdown list, it always says that error and won't allow me to add newsletter.

i bought and they got me my copy within 1/2 hour. It was just like everyone says, buggy. i fixed the prob with the charts, and the prob with the license, but it seems that the settings panel doesn't have an option for the smtp host, so you can't set the proper settings to even send the mail out. i can't find where to edit the config file directly, this sucks so bad.

this is so stupid because the could have been a really popular mod with tons of publicity and instead they ruined it. i put a ticket in to support about 6 hours ago. i will keep you updated. i really hope the developer comes back because this hack was sounding sofa king awesome

I too was looking for a "newsletter" mod and thought this might do the trick until I started reading about the coding and support, or lack thereof. So I continued my quest and stumbled upon a great piece of software. The downside is that if you are on a budget this will not work for you.

Oook! I'll tell you... I bought the full version (QHVBMailer), uploaded the files, licence file too and I wasnt able to save templates, emails, nothing at all! I only was able to manage attached files.

I asked the "developers" for support (sending the every pretty well detailed photos, etc...) but they only deleted my tickets. I think this is not the best way to honest.

No I think there may have been some confusion before.

Basically the paid subscriptions in vbulletin when someone signs up and buys something from the forums/payments.php page there is no email/pm notification sent to them. For people who use the paid subscriptions in vbulletin for one thing or another, it is quite often very useful to set up a email/pm notification to say thanks, or to let them know what they have to do next, or to let them know what features that now have access to etc. but currently there is only one mod on vbulletin.org that does this, but it is buggy.

I pretty much want the exact same mod that I showed you before (the premium version of it), with the extra feature I suggested (being able to set up unique emails for each different subscription you have set up) and without the bugs that it comes with.

If that was provided in this mod (or as a separate mod) but I think it comes under the inclusion of this mod as it is a All in One Email solution. It would really make my day!

I purchased this software and it flat out does not work. I have a forum on a dedicated server with over 65,000 members. I have the latest version of Vbulletin as well. I gave the Blogtorank people my server log ins. Even they could not get it to work. They then suggested I purchase their more advanced $60. MadMailer software. Disaster. Glitchy. Did not even send out mail. Completely unusable. They then ignored my support emails. I wanted this to work. I emailed them over and over. Money was not a problem. Even they were unable to get their script to work. I tried disputing with Paypal. They immediately escalated it to a dispute which automatically finds in their favor with software purchases.
So they do look at their email! And they know the Paypal refund policies better than I do.
Funny because I have done business with over 6400 verified Paypal members and I did not know this. Because I try to satisfy my customers. The good news is that I found software that works perfectly for mailing with Vbulletin. They have a datasync feature
which interfaces with outside mysql databases on a cron. Really cool! It is with the Active Campaign people and is called 12all. Removes, bounces, autoresponders are handled perfectly and their support is fast and superb. I liked it so much I bought 2 $189. licenses! I know it is expensive but if you do not want to waste your time I recommend them highly. No affiliate link here, I do not work for them just a super satisfied customer. Forget Blogtorank, MadMailer, or this joke of a software that they are trying to peddle on this forum. I gave them every chance to make it work. I do not usually write posts like this. I like to keep it positive but these guys deserve all the bad press they are getting. Check out the other posts about these guys on this forum. 12all with Active Campaign works. Mad Mailer, VBmailer, Blogtorank are disasters. I would not take their software for free. My time is more valuable. Check out Active Campaign 12all if you want something that really works for sending out mail with Vbulletin.

I too was looking for a "newsletter" mod and thought this might do the trick until I started reading about the coding and support, or lack thereof. So I continued my quest and stumbled upon a great piece of software. The downside is that if you are on a budget this will not work for you.

The best part is that it comes with database integration which worked perfectly with my 50,000+ user vBulletin forum. I also run a smaller 3,000+ user vB forum and sent my first Newsletter out today without flaw.

all I can say from full version is for the price paying for the mailing part I myself installed it and works fine and sending to all my users I did some test and verified
as of the support they seem very buzy and will need more then patent to get to your goals but the main part does work well
as of the HTML text editor is where I wish I was able to be the perfect guru as its not yet working but waiting over there support cause its prob my mistake in understanding or missing something ... guess will wait to see

I believe its not always the mod or programmers fault that is wrong but what surounds it and must sometimes be taken into concideration .
example am using editatrea_0_7_1 in third party line number text editor would it mixed into somehow ... I wouldnt say yet but what if... :confused:

i have created a campaign and when reviewing the date to start it's " 07/20/2000 12:05:00 PM", so it will never start. Any ideas?

Problem seems to be you can't get the config file to work, without configuring it how is it supposed to know what to do, it renders it useless, has anyone else been able to get the config file working?
