Hi, I have a gaming community site called Imperial Gaming. I'd like it if I could hook members, I digg alot of topics, and one thread got over 60 views, but yet nobody at all registered.
www.imperial-gaming.net
Please give me suggestions on how I could get members who stick around and post. I plan on having contests for things like keyboards and whatnot.
Any ideas?

Digg users don't really intend on registering they are there for the news remember ;). Contests are good but normally get spam like one word posts like "wuu2" "nothing u" "nothing"... etc..
Maybe a new skin about gaming and less spacious (there is a big gap between forums).
Also advertising is always good, your forum is new so don't expect it to be boom... It will take months/years for it to get 'big' ;).
Hope this helps.

Good advice there.
When I thought about creating mine, I figured at least two years for it to really become popular

2 years nah, my gaming forum was known throughout the BF2:MC/360 community within a month or two (that's a big community) ;). Have faith :D

FallenMorgan yo site is nice...
Maybe a few more colors in your header area and line-up or wrap all content 2 match width...
Most folks love games, so I figure give um some cool games 2 play with and a demo area...
Most games require a fast server so give um speed so that they dont get mad when game crashes and resets...
Interesting topics with newest game updates, cheat codes and fun environment...
gotts 2 be more stuff U can add...
Good luck 2 ya;)
